Mate that's monumental bollocks. The decent quality players who may be tempted to join Celtic in future will not look and say "oh oh, No Rangers, that means there will be no competition". The other teams in the SPL are "Competition" and any insinuation or suggestion to the contrary is grossly insulting to them, Celtic have lost a few games this season after all. Are you are also suggesting that the "Quality" players who are already at Celtic will be piling in with transfer requests if Rangers go bust? I don't think so.

Similary regarding "higher levels" of football, no one gives a cuss for Scottish football anyway apart from Scots and even we don't think it's a "High" level so taking Rangers out of the set up for a few years will neither improve nor lessen the level of football we already have.

Players join Celtic for many reasons, prestige and money among them, but I doubt there are many players who join Celtic just so they can play Rangers. It's ludicrous.

See, with all the money at their disposal, one of the so-called 'top' teams in the EPL has tonight been 'hammered' by Milan <doh>

can I have 3 rapid posts with extra beel please?

Celtic will be always be known as the club who put Britain on the map, they will be known as the club who brought attacking football to Europe, they will be known as the only Scottish club to ever win Europes premier competetion.

Rangers will be known as that team who used to exist that won hunners a ****ey scottish titles when spending 100 times more than anyone else, trying to emulate their superiors in Europe while ****ing the taxman for 75 million and shaming their country.

    have a good one ;)

'The reason everyone’s putting out a skeleton service operating on auto-pilot is, of course, that they’re all transfixed with the goings-on at Ibrox. And rightly so, because it’s an enormous story which reaches out and touches the entire population in a way that politics almost never does. For fans of Rangers, their entire world has fallen in. For fans of other clubs it’s either hilarious, or a time for rising above petty rivalries and showing solidarity with their fellow supporters, ie it’s secretly hilarious. For Rangers employees it’s a worry, for battered wives, social services and hard-pressed A&E staff it’s a blessing and for booze retailers it’s a catastrophe.'

I would copy and paste the whole piece if I could <ok>

Although, it makes it clear that it's anti-OF rather than anti-Rangers, it's the only actual financial sense anyone's wrote about the whole thing.

The only pity is that I don't think Medro can't read this - cos it's on the Celtic board.
