There is over £900k in prizemoney available at Meydan tomorrow! In comparison over here owners, trainers and jockeys scramble around for £2k a race! The words ‘Broken’ and ‘Britain’ once again spring to mind. Dux Scholar is an interesting runner in the 7 furlong handicap (3.45) in the Desert. Looked very good at various points last term and could be the best horse to have run across the county line at Bath in recent seasons. But, people, who on earth is Herman Brown his new trainer?!?

Nigel Twiston-Davies must be plotting this up for something. He looks for all the world like he needs 3m+ and yet he persists at around the 2m4f mark. The time to be on is in the big race when he steps up in trip and hopefully at a big price too.

The 3.40 at Southwell looks a decent contest and I'm having a couple of bob on Baby Shine at 7-2.
