Comparable positons in previous seasons

49 points would have given us a 19th and a 21st place finish in the past 2 seasons, so we should be safe from relegation now

For stato junkies, at the same stage last season we had 39 points and were lying in 13th place

During our promotion season at the same stage we had 44 points and were sitting in 8th

but on the note of why you posted its always a good sign that we better off points wise then promotion season

 

In the promotion season March was key, our form from March was what got us up really and that could very likely be the same this season.

Glad to see that we should be safe now though

When i saw Comparable positons in previous seasons an it being miff i was expecting some bird with her ankles behind her ears.

 

This is one of the best seasons in the clubs history, if we can get Fryatt/Brady/ or Stewart to start banging in goals from here through to the end of the season then the skys the limit. Kind of given up on Mclean scoring regularly but he has a part to play still too I'm sure and maybe King too

 

In 2007-08 we won 6 and lost 2 in March. That put us on 68 points from 41 games. To match that (NB. we took 7 points from our final 5 games) we need another 19 points from our next 12 games. That's very do-able, although I imagine the points totals will need to be higher this season for a top 2/6 position.

The main point is that Hull City have the best defence in the league. Only one league goal conceeded in 2012 and thats the main point here. I am going with a top 2 finish for us. UTT

 

Nobody is doubting our defense but if we can't score regularly then nil nils aint gonna get us in the top 2! Hope you're right mind, well either that or we start scoring
