Now big mick has left the wolves, does that mean we get to enjoy his Yorkshire monotone commentating at euro 2012?

You may well be right JWM, I've said the same thing on a previous thread. Although I can't stand Looserpool or their 'fans', I'm hoping that "King Kenny<doh>" pulls it around.

I can't see Dalglish getting the push. He might well jump though, as he has before.

Totally disagree here Supers, Lambert unfortunately fits the bill perfectly. Looserpool and Celtic historically have a connection with their Irish Catholic followings. They sing the same anthem and Looserpool frequently display the Irish green within their change strips. However I'm getting fed up being paranoid with losing the great man, from now on I'm just going to enjoy the ride !

Tbh i can't see one of the big clubs going for Lambert even though I think (and wish) they would. I could see him going to everton though if Moyes ever gets offered a big job!!

I wouldn't class Everton as one of the bigger clubs but they're big enough for lambert to want to go there and I also think that they would probably be one of the only premierleague clubs apart from the lower one's who would actually take a gamble on him.

Why, at the moment, would Lambert want to leave a club where he's settled, with a squad he and Cully have built themselves, who are currently running through brick walls for him every game? Who knows where we will be at the end of this, and after adding to the squad, at the end of next season? Certainly on a par with Everton and Villa. That's the paradox. As long as he's doing well, he's a likely target for other clubs; but as long as he's doing well, we are on a par with most of the clubs who might want him. Of course he's ultimately going right to the top, but not yet, however much our rivals down the road might feel the need to engage in wishful thinking.

If a big club was looking for a new manager now I reckon they'd chase Rogers not lambert. As is the advantage of our "under the radar" status.

    excellent point <ok>

i agree with ptc that everton would be a club to interest lambert and would be interested in lambert, but not in the their current state. we have more resources than they do at the moment. if everton suddenly got some financial backing then they could be the next club to join the top six as it is now. however, if they did suddenly get backing, wouldn't they go for a big name instead? ipswich fans need to get a grip... lambert is a young manager who is still developing and putting his mark on a club. he won't get any of the major jobs in this country for a good while yet

the reason i would discount spurs is that their fans are already clamouring for the likes of mourinho. imagine if lambert suddenly rolled up... we know that he is destined for the very top but he has time on his side. its a long career football management if you're good! he is focused on building something at norwich first. he'll know as we will when the time is probably right to move upwards, and its not anytime in the near future.
