Hall is useless, just look at the 1st goal, he was nowhere near a routine high ball which meant they put an easy 1st past leadfoot Kenny. Ive never seen a man lose so many headers against people more than 5" shorter than him.
And who didn't prevent Yakuba from shooting at all when Yak received with his back to goal? - Anton! 3 of our players were at fault for that goal, Kennny most as that was a shot I could have saved, then Anton and Hall. If I remember right it was also Anton that headed the ball loosely away for the 3rd goal. Hall won a lot of good tackles both on the floor and in the air especially 2nd half, and looks better than Anton of late. I reckon one of them 2 should play CB with Gabbi.

Having watched the match, I just can,t believe how many times the ball was given away during the match. These players are on big money every week and have more than enough time to work on their own individual weaknesses. Taiwo looked really amateurish for large parts of the game. Ferdinand just doesn't look sharp, Barton, as even the commentator pointed out, gives the ball away way too much and for me,he is just not contributing enough in games. Surely when the ball is in our possession and it's just humped up field, the opposition has at least a 75% chance of regaining control of the ball,so it has to make more sense to try work the ball forward, players moving into space, looking to receive the ball making it easier for the player with the ball to pass to !! Really, this group of players need to sharpen up physically, be more athletic and flexible, but I fear it may be too late to impliment that change. Lets hope the warm weather training will contribute to a vast improvement in the players form when they return from Portugal.
If you want to use the could have done better excuse for every goal, Hall is at fault for everything, apart from the4 previous 2 games, Hall has been abysmal for the last 2 years, we seem to concede 3 goals virtually every time he plays. Since October, weve only conceded less than 2 goals once in the PL when Hall has played. So if he plays, we have to score 3 goals at least to win. Without Hall playing, weve conceded less than 2 goals 4 times in the same time. Fitz Hall has played in nearly every game weve conceded 3 or more, Man City was the only game he didnt appear.
