After all of today's headlines reference this meeting which have nothing much to do with the playing of it, I couldn't resist having a look at the not606 boards for the two of them. This is also in light of our own "racist" episode recently.

Well far from quiet on there. I cannot believe Suarez would be so stupid but then again he is a footballer who most of which aren't exactly blessed in the brains department are they. As usual there is a load of defence and denial from Liverpool people and I can't believe they can still do this given what is known about the issue. He admitted pretty much his words and got banned. Liverpool did not appeal it so you would have to think it was sort of cut and dried he was guilty. But, the Liverpool supporters still argue he was not and Evra was lying or at least a large chunk of them do. This is going to be the entire content of the back pages tomorrow in every paper rather than the actual game of football itself. How bloody sad can you get.

Suarez is an absolute disgrace. His attitude today made me sick. I really don't like United but I was glad they won today. Kenny Dalglish was my hero growing up but he really needs to take a long look at himself for the way he has behaved throughout this whole saga.

A friend of mine on Facebook earlier, Liverpool fan, posted a still frame of the not shaking hands episode and tried to say that Evra pulled his hand away so Suarez couldn't shake it! People should forget who they support sometimes and just be honest. Suarez admitted making the comment and was punished for it. Dalglish should have accepted the punishment, the Liverpool players should not have worn the Suarez t-shirts.

Chelsea fans booing Rio Ferdinand because his brother was allegedly racially abused by John Terry?

The Argyle fans chanting Gypo at the Southend player? If it were Southend fans chanting the same at an Argyle player they would be up in arms.

People need to take a step back and realise they are looking like complete idiots.

Spot on Greenjock, they all need to sit quietly in a room and reflect on what its all about-racism is beyond football.Just watched the post match Fergie interview, totally agree with him, given Liverpools great footballing history they have brought shame on themselves.Think Dalglish particularly needs to look at himself in the mirror.Shankley must be turning in his grave.

I hate manu with a passion but today I hated Liverpool more. These players are so far up their own arses, I have no time for them. They also think they are above the law.

Well Mrs LaLa.......we will have to go our seperate ways on this.........Clubs I can't stand in order of disliking are.........

    Chelsea.....Liverpool.....Celtic.......and more recently Man City.

I became a Man U follower (didn't on purpose use supporter) from the Busby Babes era.........and the Munich Air disaster.

My mate and I had seen them the previous Saturday at Highbury against Arsenal.....Man U won 5-3 or 5-4..........something like 65000 in the ground....and a very long walk to get on the end of the underground queue at the end..........thats why I follow Man U and also the respect for Ferguson and his 25 odd years of building a great team.

What we have here is 2 of the least pleasant players in football, and that's a real record to hold given what passes for sportsmanship these days.

Don't forget Evra was one of the ringleaders in the "strike" by the French national squad at the 2010 World Cup. I don't care how bad the manager was, that's the football equivalent of treason.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8750302.stm

And this isn't the first time he's made allegations of racial abuse either

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...fter-FA-rule-in-his-favour-in-racism-row.html - to quote the most relevant bit:

"Three years ago this month, Patrice Evra was damned by an FA regulatory commission for supplying “exaggerated and unreliable” evidence following allegations of racism during the infamous ‘Battle of the Bridge’ with Chelsea ground staff in April 2008."

Now I don't know what Suarez is supposed to have said and I do condemn it out of hand if it was racist but Patrice Evra isn't a man who's word I'd take for anything. Whatever Suarez may or may not have said to Evra, he is certainly a dreadful diver - or cheat as it should be called - going down after nearly every challenge he takes. There was an incident in yesterday's game when he went down clutching his face when the slo-mo clearly showed his face wasn't anywhere near the impact. I know it's hard for referees who don't see the replays but it doesn't alter the fact that Suarez was clearly intent on exaggerating the incident.

All in all a very sorry pair and a sorry incident for English football.

I see Suarez has now apologised for refusing to shake Evras hand. Better late than never.

Fergie should also have thought about his post match comments, especially as his has managed such "disgraces" as Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney and Rio, I was shopping when I should have taken a drugs test, Ferdinand.

Hopefully with this apology and the fact the two teams won't meet again this season, it will all calm down between them a bit.

Considering Suarez admitted calling Evra whatever was alleged then I think there is little doubt he did the deed. I watched the incident on the news today and Suarez is a complete and utter pratt. He might as well have offered his hand and then stuck his fingers to his nose like kids do it was so baltently a slight. The appology was probably forced on him although I think now Dalglish has seen it his is more genuine. The FA will probably want this to go away but if I were them I'd charge him with bringing the game into disrepute and smack him with another 3 match ban. Given the apparent bad blood between the support groups then this sort of incident could have caused mayhem in the crowd and after the match. On this occasion I actually don't think Ferguson was wrong in his comments as much as that pains me to say it. Maybe though he should get his sight checked out as well and man up to what his own lot get up to just like a few other managers in that league should do.

Liverpools American bosses must of been on the blower......I reckon..........Dalglish wouldn't have done it willingly.........he is the ultimate pig-head.

Just words spoken without any substance behind them.......Fergy knows that.

Glory hunting armchair plastic Man U fan that you are plymborn, please don't defend or say anything nice about Ferguson to me. He is the most arrogant ignorant git going even if he is one of the most successful. I'm amazed you even admitted you had any sort of spot for United let alone a soft one. Rooney is a prick, Giggs has a morality problem, Ferdinand is a drug cheat, half the side are divers. History with players like Cantona and Kean etc show how blind Fergie can be when it comes to his own so they are in no position to throw stones at anyone else.

Ok sensible.........but you weren't at Highbury a few days before so many died, and followed the terrible aftermath as they tried to put a team together for the FA Cup and League.........you felt it more poignantly having watched the likes of Duncan Edwards,Geoff Bent,Roger Byrne,Eddie Colman,Mark Jones,David Pegg,Tommy Taylor and Billy Whelan who all died........Bobby Charlton and Sir Matt Busby.......survived.........Frank Swift England goalkeeper then a journalist also died.........you dont forget those sought of things as an eighteen year old....sensible.

I wasn't at Hillsborough either but I know about it and still don't support either team who were. It was a moment in football history but it still wouldn't make me follow a team from afar I had no conncection with. By the way my opening comments were only a leg pull. Wooden variety rather than plastic.

The difference sensible is that I was there a few days before these gifted players died and saw them play......that is something that you never forget as an eighteen year old.........and my feelings are the same as yours about Hillsborough sensible......there was no link to tie you in to what happened.

What are your views sensible......about the strange goings on at ATD this morning...........and Ian Newall becoming a Mod again at PASOTI.....(that man is dangerous) he is to be watched closely in my humble opinion.

The difference is I still wouldn't support them or have a soft spot either plymborn even if I lived next door to any of them. Sorry but I don't do sentimental like that.

I will make my comments ref the other subject on the thread ATD.
