SSN have just reported that Suarez made an unreserved apology for not shaking Evra's hand and for bringing more controversy to our great club.
Suarez: I'm sorry. Source: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/luis-suarez-i-m-sorry Hopefully we can draw a line under the incident now.
Top man. We all know why he didn't shake the ****s hand, but he should have done and put the matter to bed. Top guy for appologising to the club, no one else, just the club. as it should be
I'm getting a post in now before people start saying 'too little too late' or some ****. Can we now FINALLY just move on and get on with the football?
Not fussed. It's not aimed at the media, think it's a genuin appology to Kenny, the club and the fans for kicking the controversy off again. Time to move on now and the media to **** off with this issue now
Fair play to Suarez, he gave the media what they wanted. Now it's best to draw a line under it and move on It was the right thing to do in the end
Man did I need to see this this morning. Better that by Suarez now let's see the feet and the football do the talking from here on out
And also the clubs statement: http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/ian-ayre-luis-was-wrong So maybe all those rushing to interpret Kenny's unwillingness to talk yesterday as a sign that he has "lost his dignity" will now admit it was exactly what it looked like: a manager angry with his player but professional enough to talk to him behind closed doors before issuing a statement. Na! He's the grand dragon wizard!!!!
So glad he has done this, lets give Man Utd a big well done for their football yesterday and move on....Football debate here we come
Just seen on Twitter that the Suarez story was big news in the New York Times, and was the lead story in the Boston Herald, which is your owner's local newspaper. It's hard to imagine your owner wasn't invovled somewhere in this. Last thing he needs is bad publiclity in America aswell as over here.
Ian Ayre has now confirmed that Suarez told Kenny pre-game that he'd shake Evra's hand and then crapped on KK and left him to face the consequences. Suarez should be punished for that because after all the loyalty shown to him by his manager it seemingly meant nothing him.
I'm glad he apologised ( although it seems forced by the club ). I stated on a similar thread on the United board that whilst I dislike Liverpool I have a lot of respect for the history and proud traditions which I felt were unfortunatley being damaged. Lets put all this **** behind both clubs and get back to hating each other for more trivial reasons. You bastards
