    Sessegnon rules out Sunderland exit
    11 February 2012 - 14:20 GMT, by Samuel Turnbull

Stephane Sessegnon has ruled out a move away from the Stadium of Light, despite a flurry of interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs. Sessegnon has been one of the stars in Martin O'Neill's new look Sunderland side.
Sessegnon has scored 6 league goals this year for the Black Cats, and the Benin international has attracted praise for his recent form.

But the former PSG striker has no plans to quit Sunderland for a move elsewhere.

"Interest from some bigger English clubs? I don't think about that so far," Sessegnon told L'Equipe.

"Above all I am thinking to score and assist. We will talk about my future again at the end of the season."

sounds good to me, i can see a difference in the lad since capt marvel took over

I'm confident if a deal is put on the table he will stay, the difference in his demeanour since MON has been here is staggering

It will all depend on who we sign in the summer if we sign 3-4 top players he will stay. Its all down to our ambition

We signed him for £6m, we could make at least £10m on that. If he wants to go at the end of the season I won't have any problems with him. Most importantly he's shown he can play at a higher level than us, fair play to the lad.

And while he's about it he should tie down McCean at the same time.

The title of this thread is fantastically over optimistic because when I read the original article, my first thought was. That's him gone in the summer.

I'm genuinely not trying to be a miserable bastard on purpose here but at what point does he rule out a Sunderland exit? Samuel Turnbull is a helmet.

    anyone seen in the express

Wenger is going to offer us 20m for Sess

    well I say 20m

    12m + Bendtner

For me no deal, he is our most creative player and as soon as our other players get the ball they look for Sess, he has got a few goals this season and 10-11 assists and can play in a number of positions, how much would it cost us to find a player like that if he left?

25m for me, if a club offers that he can go but a penny under and no deal as far as I'm concerned

as for Bendtner if we only had 1 of Wickham/Ji I would say if we could get him for 5m then yes but we don't need him IMO

25m or 24.9m plus Bendtner. Either 1 would do me

Sorry, mate. If he's playing at a higher level than us, the aim must be to get us up to that standard, not sell him to somebody that already is. We'll get nowhere by selling.

I read that Sess is bringing his family here, is happy here, and can on lower money so he could prove to the manager how much he is worth to the team ,and will negotiate a new contract in the summer, if hes happy we dont have nugget in charge and will pay what he is worth,

worse case scenario, he leaves for 25 plus and i have no doubt Mon has identified good targets, and a push up the league will give us more money and a better chance to attract better players, who will come for the manager alone.

wouldn't be surprised if liverpool come calling and offer downing as bait, since downing went there he's been awful which is surprising as he's quality imo
