    so then:-

    unbeaten in 5 games.
    won 4 of these games.
scored 8, keeping 2 clean sheets and conceded just 3.

what a turn around of fortunes since buckle was sacked.

no longer in the mix of a relegation battle but instead now just 7 points away from the play offs with 51 points still available to gain.

players now happy playing with a smile on their faces. playing with confidence. that has spread to the terraces. expectations hit rock bottom under buckle but now our true potential of the team is beginning to shine under a manager who actually knows what he is doing.

under buckle the 2-1 victories from last game vs bradford and todays vs morecambe would of turned into draws maybe defeats as soon as we conceded 1 goal. but under mcghee, he has installed belief in the team to make them beleave that they can hold out for 3 points and not just give in like what was norm under buckle.

im happy with todays performance and efforts by the players. the new players making their debuts fitted in perfectly. paterson looks like a great capture for this league. parks looked like he been a regular in our team lund looked exciting when he came on.

next up, the tin pot bottlers strawberry town. a few regulars from their forum will no doubt be worried about tuesdays game.

will mcghee win his 4th game on the trot and push us further up the table which makes saturdays game vs oxford very interesting as they are flirting with 7th spot.

well done gas. well done mcghee and the lads. lets keep this going and bring on AJ and his little crew :)

AJ is a shrews fan who camps on our board. he has an interest in the gas as he use to live in bristol. a bit of a nutter as he talks to himself a lot but harmless though. chris at the start of the season was winding the shrews fans up on here and i joined in of course. be rude not to lol. had some good banter with them. as we been crap under buckle they visited us often with wums. you get use to them <ok>

eh up gas, another great win, you may win on tuesday. sadly you have only 17 games left and 10 of those are away. you will need to beat teams like shrews away if you are to walk or storm the league into the playoffs. if you do just hope you play torquay. aj is now decamping

Another excellent result under the stewardship of Mark McGhee.

Why oh why did we get Buckle in when McGhee was out there? This season could well have taken a very different complexion if that had been the case.

I still think that we've left it too late for a play-off push, but upper mid table followed by auto promotion next season looks possible. Still, you never know.

The team is playing with purpose and confidence - the new recruits have fitted in well. Two big games coming up, I think a draw against the tinpots followed by a win against Oxford would be a great return. I'm going down to the Oxford game with a mate who supports them and I'm dragging along a couple of neutrals (temporary Gasheads) too.

    Up The Gas!!!!

and i still think a lot of credit goes to shaun north, never forget what he did alone whilst your directors were faffing around. it looks as though they made the right choice. tuesday or more likely saturday will prove this. nice to have irene fully awake for a change
