I think we saw the gulf between the top 3 and the rest tonight. We were outplayed all over the pitch and were lucky to put 2 passes together. Defence... what defence, too high a line again despite lack of pace. Where were our defensive midfielders? The one bright moment for me was seeing young Shane Ferguson come on and I look forward to seeing more of him.
Thankfully we have a fortnight to recover and Cheik and Yohan back.

Fergie was the only bright spark in the whole of the game for us.

His class told in the brief outing he had and he's never let us down before. Time to give him a run.

Team for Wolves? Feels a shame to drop Guthrie, but Cabaye is just better to be frank

It's not being found out - just a firm reminder that there is a huge gulf in quality between us and the top 5, as well as, perhaps, Liverpool. Realistically we should be looking at a top 8 finish, anything more than that is a great achievement.

To be honest, I expected to lose tonight. 5-0 was abit worse than I was hoping but whatever. Pardew usually does a great job of remotivating the players, so lets hope this continues. The only thing I would say is, we are still only a point behind fourth place, so we should be proud of our season so far, and forget this blip.

    Found out is accurate.
We were lacking badly in midfield, where we had Tiote and Cabaye out.
Spurs had one of those days. They looked very good for next season for an even more serious challenge.

Well they did do Bardsley for having someone in a headlock at the end of the game on Wednesday night.

We have good squad depth, but the top 4 have excellent depth.
We played a crazy high line against a team playing brilliantly.
All in all, embarrassed but we may aswell just forget it, and a top 4 place. :)
I still believe we can get top 6, which in my opinion is fantastic.

Funny thing about this prediction lark is you often end up looking like a dogs dick from it.

Saving grace for you chum, is you're already there.

Good luck in your cup game................. Oh, sorry I forgot:rolleyes:

IMO, we need Ben Arfa in the team. He'll add the creative spark we need, and he's miles better than Obertan/Taylor.

Our midfield were the big losers yesterday, which combined with superb finishing from Spurs.
Perch and Guthrie are no better than average players, Obertan and Gutierrez the same. But on our days we can grind out narrow results against average teams.

Tiote will be welcomed back with open arms. He'll help secure us a top 7 finish.

  19. I really hope you guys can recover from this and clinch 5th.

Yeah, I know it's a big ask, what what with Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool as well as yourselves fighting for 4th & 5th, but the odds are still 50/50 that you'll take at least one of those places, with only a third of the season left to play, and I'm sure that most of you would have settled for that, at the beginning of this season.
