It appears our great dictator has a cold. This could develop in to something a lot worse, here's hoping. http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/latest-whites-news/leeds_united_ken_bates_stays_away_1_4227912
He is avoiding the boo boys, no doubt hoping Redfearn does okay and then he will march in with an "I told you so you stupid morons" and announce Redfearn has been handed a ten year contract and no transfer funds. Happy days.
People in the East Stand near him have said he's looked ill whenever he's shown up in the last couple of months. Pneumonia please.
Oh I do hope he's at the Southampton game. I'm in a box for that match and hopefully he'll be in ear shot so I can call him a **** at full time.
For the good of football and your club, he should do the right thing and retire. He should employ a chairman that represents the great past you have and be knowledgable enough to take you forward Howard Wilkinson?
I have it on good authority that bates was seen eating a tin of PAL dog food, as apparently it prolongs your active life, so he can stay around longer just keep him away from any lamp-posts,,,,, please log in to view this image
Lord Dyer, thanks for the nice message, On a serious note I don't want Ken to Die just to sell our wonderful club to someone who is going to put in what it deserves and Im not talking stupid amounts of money, a million in transfer fees would be nice!!!
I reckon a wage budget of £14 million and a £3 million transfer budget would be easily enough. Keep in mind that such investment would see the crowds return and turnover would be over £30 million, so well within what we can afford.
Marko Dont be silly thats too sensible!! Next you will be telling him to charge £25 quid a ticket so that we can get 30thousand people at ER I mean its not like 30k at £25 is better than 20k at £30
That would be easily achievable even by Ken's standards if he hadn't just blown £7 million developing a stadium we don't own.
Technically we blew £1m (although it was £1m too much), and £2m on the Pavillion. I don't think there's any harm in doing minor building projects like these in themselves (unless it looks truly horrendous like the East Stand does), as long as it doesn't affect the investment in the team. It's the £70m hotel and friends that worries me a lot more.
