I'll tell you what folks I've been on a few internet forums but Twitter takes the p*ss. I've never seen so many uncensored sectarian/homophobic and racist comments posted by some obviously mentally challenged no marks who would kack themself if they came face to face with anyone they had posted about. Our own James McClean comes in for a lot of stick for choosing to play for the republic of Ireland instead of Northern Ireland which is his right as set out in the good friday agreement.
For the love of God don't go on one of the Chan boards lads. And they have had to ease off with keep getting shut down. A lot of people like some strange and horrible things
Derry, you might put me right on this mate. As far as I was aware, anyone born anywhere in Ireland is entitled to two passports, British & Irish. Am I right? If so then they have every right to choose which one they play for.
You're partly right Billy lad, anyone born in the North of Ireland can have Dual Citizenship and play for either team.
Have to agree derry. Thing is people on there are "Followed" rather than having to confirm friends - hardly any of my friends are following me on twitter (mainly people from here and from my Singing that have seen the advert - although going into a pub in Newcastle when your poster says @marcusblackcat is sometimes fun!!) If you don't have your "friends" so to speak following you then you are unlikely to get any stick (from anywhere but Twiutter) from anyone - Young James can play for who he wants and is (at present) more likely to succeed with RoI rather than NI (IMO) - Just glad he's playing for us and not anyone else!!
Not going to link you Syd. I couldn't possibly take the responsibility. Google is your friend, they usually have numbers attached to the "chan"!
4 chan is the most infamous one, it started out as an anime forum, and just escelated from there. members from there are the ones that uploaded kids vids (cartoons etc) with hardcore porn 1/2 way through onto youtube a couple of years back.
