I see that the NOTW is reporting that Ferguson is ready to sell Rooney as their relationship has become strained, I watched them yesterday during the FA Cup match and whilst play was held up by the injury they were shown on the touchline, seemed all very relaxed between them though chatting away and Rooney breaking into a smile.

Can't see him going, although if he did I can see Chelsea buying him for some stupid amount far exceeding what he's worth.

Might have something to do with Rooney not standing to attention and saluting Fergie.

Yeah.. we should have bought him back in 04'!

    Now, I wouldn't want him.

  10. I think if this is true, Rooney should go to real madrid. He'd be perfect in attacking mid. I think Rooney isn't just a good goal scorer, but his passing and creativity is phenomenal.

  13. Nah, ozil is not better than Rooney. Rooney is probably, in my opinion, in the top 5 best players in the world, when he's in form. He's worth 60-80 million of anyones money. He's useful pretty much anywhere on the pitch.

    Real madrid attack

    -------------Adebayor--------------

    Ozil----------Rooney---------Ronaldo

But when Higuain is fit, he'd be preferred up front to Adebayor. But yeah I agree, Rooney would be the perfect foil for a striker in that formation, especially in la liga.

So your telling me Adebayor is better than Higuain?

    Khedira Alonso
    Ronaldo Ozil Di Maria
    Higuain

I'm not even sure if Rooney would get into that team...

  16. Rooney's better than all of them apart from Ronaldo, IMO.

I get your point Tash.. he's technically brilliant and I think La Liga would suit his style even better with his passing, control, technique, shooting, awareness and creativity. Maybe he might get in ahead of Di Maria.. and shift Ozil out wide.

Staying on the Real Madrid topic.. shouldn't we try and get one or two of there fringe/youngsters on loan?

Pedro Leon(24 year old winger) - Loan with view to Perm deal?
Sergio Canales - Loan.. very talented AM who can play out wide.
Esteban Granero? - Loan with view to Perm? he isn't going to get in the team with the likes of Alonso, Khedira, Kaka and Diarra.. so why not? very good technically and would challenge Nolan for the CM spot alongside Tiote..
    Fernando Gago? anyone?
