Seems young McClean has been left out of the RoI squad.. Good or bad? Totally agree - have to wonder what more he could do to get in the squad, hope MON can keep him focused and keen to force his way to the Euros. Feel a bit sorry for the lad
Think he will be ok, he seems level headed enough to realise he has only be playing at the top level for a few games now. Sure he will get in if he keeps his current form up until end of the season.
Have to say that whenever I have seen the boy on TV, he has looked a class act. Maybe one of the finds of the season.
It's not a complete surprise he isn't in the squad. Trapattoni has to look to the qualifying games the ROI have coming up. MacClean has only played a handful of games in the top division and hasn't got the experience yet that is needed to play at the international level.
Typical ****ing Trappatoni , stick with the same proven Internationals (proven completely average). The instant an excitiing player raises his head (Shane Ferguson, James McClean) its too much of a risk. God forbid the RoI fans might want to see at least a couple of their players display adventurous attacking football. Don't get me wrong, Trap has done well in his stint with the team but half the time half the fans don't experience the final whistle of the win because they are asleep
I'm pretty shocked that he hasn't made the squad when you look at the players who have...Great for us though because he will need all his energy for our up and coming league and cup games...
