First reports from Trulli in the new Caterham is that the car feels balanced, and importantly for him, he's getting good feel through the steering. Thats one excuse for 2012 removed right away. If he isn't competing with Kovalainen this season, he definitely has to go.
It'd be good for the fans to see that there is speed in the car so they can better accept that Ferrari are deliberately trying to understand how to make it work in different scenarios at different circuits. A few days work has got them closer to that. EDIT: That 1:18.8 lap took quite a bit out of the tyres. After his slow lap he was down to 1:19.7 and 1:20 laps. Red Bull either don't feel they can learn much in the cold conditions or want to try something that requires quite a big change.
Was on the softs but was still a huge leap forward in times for Ferrari, especially so early in the day. Maybe they're wondering if they've fixed their speed problem in low temperatures from last year.
well to be honest, the Ferrari was looking glued towards the end of yesterday putting in some good times on long runs
10:20 Another personal best for Vergne with the best overall time in S2: 1m19.667s his new benchmark Best in a sector but still 0.8s off the fastest overall time, and he's consistent. Toro Rosso hiding pace
10:46 We hear the problem is electrical 10:45 Red Bull has informed @StrangAutosport about the problems with Vettel's car: "Normal testing niggles, some of which are not easy to get. It was not in the plan to lose three hours but we are quite unconcerned. Expect to do long runs later."
13:32 Vettel is tucked up behind Grosjean's Lotus... and the Red Bull looks planted in the turbulent air. Baaaaad
