nothing wrong with lying to a journalist..the same journalists you get your knickers in a twist about whenever they link RVP with a move away from the Arse...and then you criticise them...

Is that why he hasn't jumped at a chance to sign a new deal? <doh>

You're right Piskie. RVP isn't going anywhere. I mean they made him captain of Arsenal after all. That worked with Fabregas didn't it? <laugh> AND you were in the CL as then. You have more chance of crapping in the Queen's handbag than being in the CL this year OR keeping hold of RVP.

Not a fan of quotes as signatures but I'm gonna have to use that.

Just gotta remember how to do it now.

Watching SSN this morning and they were saying Redknapp will probably leave as he has done all he can at Spurs taking them up to 3rd. What are your thoughts on these sort of comments?

How am I wumming? I asked what you thought on the said comments. If it were about the club I was supporting I would think the guy was talking out of his arse.

  13. The commentators are wumming, the scum tabloid press is wumming, the BBC is wumming, and you, by putting any credence in anything they say, are wumming.

I never realised it was such an easy trap to fall into. <yikes>

  15. It's not your fault, really. We're all a little sensitive about this subject, Ninja.

Pro pundits have a pop at the tabloid press when they do their tapping-up for managers, and now we have the likes of Shearer and even Linekar (FFS!) putting pressure on Harry to leave Spurs and take the poison chalice that is the England manager's job!

What rankles even more is that we have the likes of Rooney and Rio Ferdinand - players for the same club who's position in the league table is most under threat from us - encouraging Harry to leave Spurs, in the full knowledge that it is highly likely to derail our season!

    Unbelievable!

That is surprising - RVP seems more intelligent than to tell the truth to journalists - is he a little naive do you think?

The same media/pundits that damned the Liverpool fans for trying to manufacture a change of manager last season are now doing exactly that. Vultures the lot of them.

In my eyes Harry would be mad to leave you guys before the end of the season. Will he ever get a chance as good as this to win the Premier League again? I doubt it.....Media is making it out that a move to the England job is increasing likely, which could of course be bullshit.
I have no great love of Spurs fans on here due to the crap we recieved over the Suarez affair, that aside, I ill feel really bad fo all spurs fans if he upsets your season by leaving before may. He owes it to you guys to finish the job he has started...
On the bright side, if he does leave, with the position you are in and the players you have, there should be a host of top managers looking to step in with the opportunity of winning a premier league and having CL football next year.
You never know, the honeymoon period of a new manager coming in could be enough to take you to the Premier league title?

I think Harry would be mad to accept the job. As HIAG says, it's a poisoned chalice. England clearly don't have the talent at their disposal to win any major tournament. Harry would do his best, fail like all the others, and be turned into a root vegetable by the tabloid press. Who needs it??

I agree with everything you say Spain - but the trouble is that the honour of managing your country is one hell of a temptation - Harry would only recevie good media coverage until his first defeat - could his heart stand the pressure the media will apply?
