    NOTTINGHAM FOREST 1 v 1 WATFORD
Lloyd Doyley - caution 12 mín
    Garath McCleary - goal 18 mín. 1:0
    Troy Deeney - goal 44 mín. 1:1
Jonathan Hogg - caution 52 mín.
Nyron Nosworthy - caution 56 mín.
Chris Gunter - caution 66 mín.
Joe Garner - caution 68 mín.
Ismail Miller - caution 72 mín.
Attendance: 21.712 with 994 travelling Hornets

The Hornets are travelling north again to meet a Nottingham team who sadly lost their owner one week ago. I heard there is more snow in England so anything could happen.

”New lads don't always come with the weight of the season on their backs and sometimes in situations like this you are almost better off changing players than trying to change the players that have already been scarred by what has happened this season.”

“Sometimes those loan periods can help you a lot and can help the other lads in the team and Adlene, Scott and Danny will certainly add to what we've got.”

    • Forest

Forest could have three players making their first appearances. George Elokobi Scott Wootton and Danny Higginbotham. A knee injury stops Chris Cohen playing, Brendan Moloney and Greg Cunningham have thigh and hamsting injuries and will not be on the field either.

“It is difficult in football to win perfectly every week and it is important that you find a way of winning and today we did. That sounds negative because we played well in the first half particularly and started brightly at the beginning of the second half through good game management. We didn’t look fazed, Scott Loach has had hardly anything to do, we kept a solid shape and we knew they would push on – which they did. But we were aware of that and Eustace pops up with his second and we were looking like good value for the win.”

“Overall, I think we were good value for the three points. thought our shape was good, we penetrated at times and forged a number of good chances without our keeper having to make a save.”

    • The Hornets

As Little Ak would say leiðinlegur or boring.Stephen McGinn is still some distance from returning from his knee injury he is two weeks away from one year. Martin Taylor is still out with a broken toe. Jonathan Hogg and Carl Dickinson need to stay calm as they have sixcautions each.

John Eustace: two goals against Barnsle

    Today's team
    Scott Loach
Lee Hodson, Adrian Mariappa, Nyron Nosworthy - caution 56 mín., Lloyd Doyley - caution 12 mín.
Chris Iwelumo for Sean Murray - 68 mín., John Eustace (c), Jonathan Hogg - caution 52 mín., Mark Yeates for Alexander Kacaniklic - 62 mín.
Troy Deeney - goal 44 mín., Joe Garner - caution 68 mín.

Substitutes: Jonathan Bond (GK), Mark Yeates, Chris Iwelumo, Carl Dickinson, Prince Buaben

    Who will win?
    Current form

Forest have not won at the City Ground sinceNovember when they beat Ipswich Town and strangley their last win away was also against Ipswich on January 2. Since then one draw in the first of five matches is a terrible record. Away from Vicarage Road Watford have won two and lost two of the last five. Four goals scored two in each win and six lost shows a slow improvement

Akureyri's Prediction: 1:1 Nottingham will see Watford as a game they have a chance of winning, and the visitors will see this as an opportunity to edge closer to safety or push towards the play-offs. With both teams needing a win both will fail and take a point each.

    skál/skål/cheers/salut

Nice as per usual AK. The pic of Elokobi trying to smile made me laugh. He is so small (he is the same height as me) but so chunky!!!

I have predicted a 3-0 win to us i believe. But i think it might be tougher than the result might suggest. I am just hoping for a good game to listen to. COYH!!

thanks Ak! Another great thread...and yes Dan, he looks very chunky! lol...

Looking forward to this day out as there'll be a few Nesties there...and a few other friends as well, so should be good fun. I'm ever hopeful that my 3-1 prediction will come true, though i think this game has the best chance of that, from recent fixtures.

    COYH!

I am going for the normal 3-1 to the Golden Boys, one day this result will happen;) Hopefully not too much snow in the East Midlands, sickening thing is I am only a short drive away in Northants, but as the good lady is back I suppose I had better spend some quality time with her:( Saying that though she will be spending time with the grandaughter, now how long will it take me to get lost trying to find my round to get a newspaper<laugh> 'just going out to get a paper love I may be some time<laugh>

Logically I can't see us losing as Forest are really poor at the moment, but we should have beaten them earlier this season. So obviously this is going to be the start of their escape; my head says 2-0 home win and my heart 0-2 away.

Is that anything like the old saying "im off to get milk" when the husband walks out and abandons the family? Im sure she might suspect, but you might be able to win some brownie points back on Valentines day.

This is one of those games you'd look at form and think we should win. We've won a couple on the bounce, Forest struggling to score... which probably means we'll lose by a couple! I think I'll go for a 1-0 away win <ok>

    Great thread, as normal <cheers>

Great thread ak, I'm going for a tough 0-1 win for the 'orns. 3 more points and just that little bit closer to safety.

How many points are they predicting will guarantee safety this season?

Blimey - that George Elokobi looks more like a Samoan prop forward than a footballer. Hope he takes pity on Little Lee Hodson :) Even with his presence adding beef to their defence, I reckon a win is ours for the taking here - another 0-2.

Blimey has that George Elokobi been on the Ellington diet?

    Going for a 2-2 draw...

Could've fooled me. Forest were strong contenders for the worst team we played at the Vic in 2011.
