A couple of games and McClean is suddenly a world beater? lets see over a season and then ask this question.
This question is a bit premature - I will say this though MON has really sorted Sunderland out and I'm glad to see them and us doing so well this season just hope we can both maintain it. McClean looks good but it is very early days for the lad would be happy to see it's not a flash in the pan but right now would take Jonas on experience, people seem to be underestimating the value he adds to our side and has done for a long time. McClean bright prospect could be a good to brilliant winger, Jonas useful in more than one position, experienced and a vital part of the team. Lots of people mentioning his tracking back but the sheer number of free-kicks he's won is amazing - don't know the stats for it but he is usually one of the most fouled players in the league - people say he goes down easily but he's an awkward bastard to defend against, gangly legged too, he wins a lot of fouls fairly. I'll say I'd rather play against McClean than Jonas but time will tell.
You haven't seen the light at all. Anyway. Insults don't count when then they come from the UK's largest open-air Mental Health Care in the Community project, more commonly known as County Durham. Did you know that, when you drive north, along the A19, you come to sign which says:- Welcome to Durham. Land of the Prince Bishops. WARNING: May Contain Nuts.
I know I'm late to the party...but my vote goes to McClean, He looks like he is gonna be absolutely quality! Got alot of mates who are sland fans so watch more of you lot then the average toon fan probably does, and ever since O'neill first picked him hes looked the real deal. Dont get me wrong tho Gutierrez is a class player, one of the hardest working on our team...but he does go down easily sometimes and I cringe everytime it happens...cant help it. I wish there was some way to get diving out the game. He is crucial in supporting Santon tho, young inexperienced player who likes to bomb forward, whereas I think a team with santon/mcClean on the left wing would be vunerable due to them both gettin forward so much.
Its unlikely that he will make the Irish squad unless there are a few injuries. Trap wants to keep the same squad that qualified for the Euros.
