QUALITY WORK MATE. LIKE IT. Shame that your heart ruled over your head. With our water tight defence and woeful attack i think it could well be a stunning 1-0 Hull City Win. In saying that get ready for a 5-4 Hull win now. Lol.

That really doesn't surprise me. If you think about away games, at London teams you feel like everyone wants you to be dead, but at places like Bristol and Ipswich everyone seems more welcoming.

I wouldn't be too sure of that. Our defence, as has been mentioned above, is the best in the league and when you look at our CBs it isn't surprising; James Chester is imo one of the best players outside the PL, his tackling is amazing, he feeds on players like Adomah who run at him and it looks like they're going to beat him but suddenly he comes out of nowhere with the ball, he is PL quality and nothing less.

Also, you aren't the only team in the league who have a good winger. In Cameron Stewart we have a brilliant young winger, he was out injured for 9 months and when he came back in November he showed he hadn't lost any pace as some fans had feared; he scored on his first game back and made goals in the next 2 or 3. When he gets the ball on the wing everyone gets excited. However, he's played every game since then and has recently started to look really jaded and in need of a rest. We were going to rest him last week against Portsmouth but with the game called off he got that rest anyway, so hopefully he should be back to his terrifying best this weekend.

Looking at the photo brought back a ton of memories for me and if the photo was a bit bigger or zoomed out I'd be able to see our old house. Sunday school at St. Mathews, larkin' in West Park and on "bombies" (bombed buildings at the corner of Saner St (looks like a park now), train spotting at the level crossing at Selby St and Anlaby Rd (pre flyover), watching Tommy Fynn and the Drake brothers at Airlie St, my aunt and uncle getting run down and killed by a motor cyclist as they tried to cross Anlaby Rd at Saner St. I had a look on Google Maps street view and see most of the little shops that seemed to be on every street corner have disappeared but the Eagle survives. I guess it's hopping on game day? I remember one night when a guy put an ash tray of beer under his chair for his dog ... my mates did the same and kept it filled and the poor sod got pissed ... rotten buggers :)

Says the voice of experiance? Obviously not recently given our scoring record.

And I've realised, I need to correct my earlier comment about our first choice striker and his understudy not having scored a goal between them for two months if they fail to score this weekend. That's wrong, it's already 2 months since either of them scored. After our last game I got it in my head it was one more game, but that game got cancelled. You'd think I was making these comments just to highlight the record if we win wouldn't you?

Jesus christ Canada you must have lived pretty close to me cos I did all that as well including the train spotting at the footbridge on anlaby road pre flyover. I lived on Saner St and delivered papers for Pawsons.Sunday school at St Mathews as well but what really gave it away was bombies. I used to play on bombies as well and it's the first time I have heard that little piece of land at the end of Saner St called that in over forty years!
