has signed for Bayern Munich this morning and joins in the summer. Wonder how much for... Cant believe figures as low as £9M were going around in January. He'll be a great season for them.

Wonder if it means Arjen Robben or Franck Ribery will finally be leaving then...

    It's a slow day.

Bastard, not that we were ever getting him. To be fair he was always destined for a super power such is his talent, and this one has been rumoured for a while. Bayern are the biggest draw for a lot of South Eastern European countries as there are huge communities in Germany from these countries. Hence half the German team should be playing for Turkey really.

Yeah, its a great move for him though. Especially considering how close he was to joining Galatasary.

Fantastic move for him. I'd have loved to have seen him over here and I thought Man U might have had a look after he destroyed them. Supposedly though this deal has been in place since the Gala deal collapsed, alledgedly because of Bayern's interest.

No sure how that's relevant, seeing as he's Swiss?

Im assuming he's just going on about Shaqiri's Turkish roots maybe? Theres quite a few Turkish players playing for Switzerland these days as well.

    Shame for Turkey really.

He is from Albanian heritage. Albania is in South Eastern Europe and Germany is home to a lot of Albanian communities aswell as Turkish. Sorry I thought the name was a dead giveaway his heritage was not swiss and should have been clearer.

He is a top player, shame that an English club did not get him, he would have been good for you.
