Not really - there was a bit of a ruck in the city (Leicester) centre back in 2008 but I'm not sure that it was serious - more a case of some of them having drink, getting a bit larey and coming to the attention of some of ours - nothing on the scale of our visit to Earlsden etc when playing Cov - but this is just my take - didn't see it but remember being surprised by it....

Apparently, according to FoxesTalk, when we played them last season there was a fight in Norwich town centre which ended up with 9 Norwich fans and 2 Leicester fans behind bars.

So now according to the police we're 'high risk' fans <laugh> ****ing Joke.

It'll be the police, they're clueless when it comes to football.

We had a similar thing with Leeds when we got promoted to the Championship, the "Safety Advisory Group" came up with ridiculous arrangements for us, including expecting a City fan living round the corner from Elland Road to travel to Hull to get a coach to the game, and then get the coach back to Hull before being allowed to go home. And this was on New Year's Eve we were playing. West Yorkshire Police insisted on hiding behind it saying it wasn't them, it was the SAG. Where they fell down was that every other body on the SAG had come out and publically disagreed with the decision and criticised the police for imposing it.

Thankfully we're not a group of fans who take kindly to that crap and the scale of the protesting forced them to back down eventually. It was particularly amusing listening to the match commander on the radio after the game where he was having to admit how well behaved the fans had been, with the presenter making our fans the focus of the comments as though he was trying to make our point for us.

Don't see how we can give them their full 15% allocation if it goes to a replay. Our health and Safety team won't let them, after all where will they all park their tractors.

How much did they get in the league last season? They were impressive.

If it goes to a replay then they shouldnt get 15%. If our fans are a risk in Norwich then surely we're still a risk in our own back yard and therefore they need to minimise the amount of away fans at the game.

I just dont understand why you have such a biff with the club and fans?

It isnt our fault you havent been given the full amount.

If this was the other way round i couldnt give 2 hoots about how many tickets we did or didnt get.

Also the incedent incident in which fans got locked up was in leicester back in 2009 i believe <ok>

Where have we blamed the fans?

It's an issue with your club and your local police.

Why an issue with the club, it's the police that dictate these things. And dictate is the key word, it's why clubs like Wigan get annoyed about the amount the police charge them.

That is one of the reasons why Norwich should speak out - more fans, more money for them.

What ever you might want to believe, if the police said 2,500 maximum then the FA could not overrule that.

The police "advisement" is made on the grounds of public safety. If they overrule safety advice and anything happens to anybody they become liable to being sued. The police will provide evidence of them ignoring safety advice which puts them into reckless/negligent behaviour. Nobody in their right mind is going to expose themselves to that threat, so unfortunately it means the police can dictate whatever terms they want unless it is made clear to them that imposing what they want will be more dangerous than being more relaxed. (Us with Leeds probably swinging on the amount of people who said they were going to turn up ticketless and protest about the policing outside the ground)

I do like idealistic way you think the world works though.
