For the Perform Best Marketing Campaign at the Football League Awards 2012(for that viral video ahead of this season)... http://www.hullcityafc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10338~2605006,00.html?
It's pretty good, but in general the marketing from the club is pretty poor. I was looking on the club website the other week for someone to e-mail, and we don't actually have a marketing department, just a commercial one, which Linton Brown heads up, so I think the club could do with progressing and investing in this area.
You might want to try Simon King(Business Development Manager), he's been involved in some of the marketing deals, it was him who spoke to me after I had a rant at the club about the Cash Converters shirt deal.
Perform? As in the company that used to be known as premiumtv that run almost all the official websites in the Football League thanks to the collective contract that was signed after ITV Digital collapsed? Until I made that connection I was going to question whether the "Best Marketing Campaign" should go to the one that had the most positive effect on sales of what ever was being marketed, in which case how could we be nominated when our sales are pretty much unmoved by it. If it's being sponsored by them I'll withdraw that confusion though, because on their standards it'll go to the least effective one so long as it's been made in the same way that somebody at Perform thinks it should be.
That's the ones, they own the digital rights to many different leagues and own that ****e website Goal.com.
I think it's quite a good vid. Where else can you see every goal from the 2010-11 season in one place?
