Instead of the usual HBA vs Sess what about Wickham vs Ji.

For me Wickham needs to play with another proper forward and when paired with Bendtner earlier in the season for a couple of games looked canny but as it says Wickham vs Ji.

IMO I say Ji, as every game goes by the lad looks better IMO, he makes some good intelligent runs and makes his game look effortless. Once the lad has settled properly and knows the language think he will turn out to be a very good player and that goal vs City will stay in my memory for a very long time.

Did we need to go and get both in the summer? Would 8m rising to 11-13 whatever it was of been spent better on a goalscorer

I would favour Ji over Whickham.

To be honest, Whickham. whilst a strapping lad, often looks as if he's never played football before. I fear he may be one of Brucie's few duds in the transfer market. I know that's a bit harsh on an 18 year old. Maybe he'll improve quickly over the next couple of years but I have my doubts.

Honestly think Wickham needs loaning out back to the championship and play every week, cant see him improving with the way it is at the moment.

    Clean slate?

Wickham or Ji? Both need a run of games to decide this one....as it stands now...no idea.

I'm a little concerned about Connor, if i'm honest.

I'm certainly not wroting him off, he's 18, and I didn't expect much from him this season.

What concerns me is his apparent lack of touch, and the fact that despite his size, he seems easily dispossessed.

Time is on his side though, and he has had it a bit stop/start with niggling injuries, so we'll have to see.

Ji has shown little sparks of being a pretty decent player, more so than Connor ATM, so i'd have him in there if either right now.

I still believe Connor will develop into a very handy 10-12 a season target man.

Both were bought for the future, the battle lies ahead.

Agree with everything. One for the future, not up to it yet, championship loan is needed.

On performance on the pitch Ji without a doubt.
Can we loan Connor to Bolton so he can learn from Davies, which I think was in the back of MON's mind when he bid for him.
