  1. Fantastic goal.

Lets hope he stays fit, gets a winners medal, and returns confident <ok>

It was a great goal. Let's hope he's finally found his shooting touch. Would be good news for us.

Because he won't face such awful defending as that.

Look at the CB as Gervinho heads into the box. He pulls back. What the hell for? If that was Premier League CB he'd have kept running and tried to make the shot more difficult.

  7. Not true. Gervinho has got himself into many scoring positions in the league. Its not creating the space or chances that have been his problem, its the finishing. The finish for this goal was first class.

CB should have done better, but I don't think you can take anything away from Gervinho for the goal.

I wasn't trying to. He did a great job, as Gervinho usually does ... I'm just saying that scoring in the ACON isn't the same as scoring the PL. The ACON makes players look better than they are.

But the upside of that is he's going to come back and have a lot of confidence, and hopefully do the same kind of stuff against PL defences.

Hopefully he is learning to not panic once he gets in to the box. Good goal by him.

Give Gervinho a break, it's his first season in the premier league and a half a season at that. He has been one of the best purchases this season in the whole premier league in my opinion. He has made a big impact on Arsenal's season and quickly ousted Arshavin from left wing who has been here for a number of years. He is still young and getting better....

Gervinho has taken a lot of stick for his performances in the ACON before this goal. So it was a good sign that he did not let his head drop and instead scored the winner in a semi-final to shut the critics up.

Because thats what happen to players when they go to the Emirates .. they play tippy happy and forget how to score. Chamakh, Bendtner, Gervinho, Walcott. They either come down with Icantshoot-itis, or they need a Weakankles-ophy operation

I think one thing that i would like to see is former greats like Henry as some type of coach/advisor. I think him coming over as a loanee has only helped our squad. Just imagine the advise he could impart to players like Gervinho? All players like him need is some fine tuning, they already have the talent and skill....
