Zenden makes plea to Sunderland boss O'Neill to take him back Submitted on Wed, 02/08/2012 - 11:08 Bolo Zenden is keen to make a comeback at Sunderland. The People says Zenden has urged Martin O'Neill to give him a second chance at Sunderland. The Dutch winger ended a two-year spell with the Black Cats last summer and snubbed a chance to rejoin them in October while Steve Bruce was still boss. But former Chelsea, Middlesbrough and Liverpool ace Zenden, a free agent, now feels more tempted to return to the Stadium of Light with O'Neill in charge. The 35-year-old said: "I hope there is a different situation at Sunderland under Martin O'Neill. I am definitely open to rejoining them." Did well for us still has something and a free agent, but unfortunatley can only see him as cover for injuries
If not as injury cover, I wonder if he would accept a coaching role, class player and would probably do a good job
"I hope there is a different situation at Sunderland under Martin O'Neill. " Interesting! Am I reading more into this than I should, with my thoughts on Bruce?
Rate the guy and would be good cover and coach as others have said. MON is keen on proven players as far as I can tell so maybe a possibility. Hope you're right Connor
I think we wants to play more than we could offer though, shame because i agree the bloke is top class and could teach our young players a hell of a lot.
Bridge in at left back and Richardson as the left midfield competition for McClean. That said, I wouldn't drop McClean because if had an off day So did Sessegnon tonight but you wouldn't drop him would you?
The squad being full, does not mean MoN could not bring him back, in one position or another,as a free agent, under euro law he still has a right to work, what as I havent a clue.
