Wenger because someone, somewhere, some time has to educate England players that the ball can touch grass.
id Love Mourinho, but he is on the brink of leading another title victory and he answers back, so cant see it being him unfortunately.
As 'arry just managed to convince a court that he's dim, rather than bent, he'll almost certainly be the target.
If any foreigner were to take the job it would have to be Mourinho, but like you say he won't be a yes man to the FA. Redknapp's the obvious favourite, if Martin O'Neill hadn't taken the Sunderland job he'd probably be a leading candidate too.
Redknapp could do it part time until the end of the season with Stuart Pearce doing the day to day stuff.
Who ever it may be, I would like to see Stuart Pearce given a role in a senior 1st team coaching/management position, hopefully he could then pass on some of the " Fighting English " spirit on to the current players, something that has been severely lacking in the English camp for a long time.
I really don't care that much. My interest in the national team has shrunk to very little in recent years.
i really don't want harry redknapp. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike him too much but I'm not convinced he'll do the trick. I want Stuart pearce.
I don't care who the next England manager is. Whoever gets the job won't be the 'right man for the job', won't have enough passion, won't play good enough football, will be a dour **** and will be loathed regardless of anything he ever does for the country's football team.
But that's exactly why he will be available. He's always said his aim is to be the first man to win the 3 big European leagues. He'll have done that come May and will quit.
True. It's a shame we're such a nation of miserable buggers. I'd go for Pearce on a short-term basis until the Euros. Afterwards I'd go for Mourinho if possible.
We need someone on a short-term basis until after the Euros IMO. It will be impossible to get the right man at this time of year, won't it?
Italians often jump ship. You're right Eric of course. Except in my book it has to be an Englishman (don't think there are any suitable ladies) then we pith the best 11 Englishmen + Manager against the best of any other nation, thats what it's about. It's that final bit of dressing room nouse that makes a lot of difference, motivation, motivation, motivation. 'arry would do for me, but Stuart Pearce also would do if he wants it. Bet all the players would come out and say similar if they had the chance.
its not about how he manages the players. It's how he manages the Murdoch League managers assosiation
