I hope he gets better soon as well! Will you keep us all updated if you hear any more news please?!

He is one of my favourite players of all time...just behind Nobby and Pedro.

Accident happened yesterday, he was rushed to hospital after colliding with another skier. Supposedly he's on the mend though and going to be okay <ok>

Heard that, then also heard he's in a coma.

Is there any reliable information available, as some stories suggest that he's recovering in his hotel and others don't sound as promising?

Surely it would have been a lot more highly publicised if that was the case. Hope not anyway, one of my footballing heroes when I was young along with everyone else in the class of '95-'96, and seems an absolutely top fella when having a laugh in the pundits chair. Still hope he can come back and coach us in some capacity one day, can always use personalities like his around the training ground.

I'm guessing we'll have to wait for a statement really. That to me is the only reliable way. Or from the horses mouth himself, but if he is in a coma (and I hope he isn't) that isn't going to happen.

Nufc fans just posted on twitter the following "David Ginola is recovering having left hospital with five broken ribs and a broken collarbone- his rep has confirmed", most reliable information I've seen yet.

    Taken from a newspaper article....

FORMER football star David Ginola has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a ski accident, it emerged today.
The 45-year-old Frenchman, who played for a number of Premiership clubs including Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, crashed into another skier in the Alpine resort of Portes du Mont Blanc.

Local ambulance staff said it was a 'severe collision' which resulted in Mr Ginola suffering 'severe trauma'. Injuries included damage to his throat, and bruises all over his body.

After a number of hours in hospital following Tuesday afternoon's accident, Mr Ginola was allowed back to his hotel room, but was forced to cancel future engagements.

These included an appearance at the high-profile 'snow golf' tournament at nearby Megeve, where he was due to be one of the major celebrities taking part this week.

Tottenham ... David Ginola in his playing days
"It's a huge disappointment that he will no longer be coming," said one of the organisers. "David had a very nasty accident in Portes du Mont Blanc.

"He was badly hurt in the crash, and had to go to hospital for treatment, and to be put under investigation. He is now recovering."

Good to hear he's recovering and doesn't have to take part in snow golf, which sounds crap!

It sounds impossible to me! Golf is hard enough as it is, without hitting a WHITE golf ball into snow!

    Get well soon David.

Wasn't he forced to choose between pursuing either pro skiing or pro football when he was a teenager?

The Daily Fail are running the quote from his rep now, too.
Reports about a throat injury are apparently inaccurate.
