http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...r-liverpool-fc-s-luis-suarez-100252-30287185/ IT WAS great to see Luis Suarez back on the pitch at Anfield and his introduction for Liverpool FC against Spurs gave everyone a massive lift. A lot has been made about the booking he picked up but I thought he was really unfortunate. Suarezâs eyes were always on the ball and kicking Scott Parker was completely accidental. I couldnât believe it when I heard that Wayne Rooney had tweeted that Suarez should have been sent off. Rooney needs to focus on sorting out his own club before he worries about anyone else. And I would have thought someone as reckless as Rooney would keep his thoughts to himself. After all this is the player who blatantly booted an opponent up the backside playing for England last year and was deservedly sent off. The fact the FA managed to get his ban reduced from three games to two was a complete joke. Rooney should count himself very lucky heâs even going to the Euros after what he did. What Suarez did was very different and it was never a red card. It was a tough night for Suarez against Spurs as he missed a great chance to win it late on. I felt the referee was on his case from the moment he came on. The fear is that officials will pinpoint him and I donât think heâs going to get much off them. You could see how annoyed he was when he walked off.
Why the **** does'nt Ferguson ban him from making football related comments on twitter? Look at at his tweets, the prick is either bragging about money, rubbing shoulders with real celebs or arguing with Liverpool supporters.
It is hilarious that he got so much backing from the FA for deliberately stamping on an opponent and then feels he has the right to pass judgement on others intentions the guys got a brain the size of a rabbit poo though so really it's only to be expected
He is such a grotesque troll. He looks so ugly that even if I were offered to trade salaries with him (along with looks) I would probably decline, such is the ugliness of his fat spotty face
Rooney can **** right off...so can Twitter...nothing good comes from it. Next he will be banging on about loyalty.
No one's denying Rooney's a dirty ****, his experience in this field makes his opinion very valid. I can't believe you're still defending Suarez. He pushed Parker prior to kicking him so he knew he was there and he does take his eyes off the ball, even if he's not looking directly at Parker(it's hard to tell) he has peripheral vision like all of us so would've been more than aware where Parker was.
The above comments aren't really sticking up for Suarez, it's unclear imo whether it was intended or not - what's ****ing everyone off is that Rooney's comments are rich to say the very least.
If you look at my post I made on your board after the match you will see that I am by no means sticking up for Suarez...but Rooney can shove his nose up his own ass.
There's no way he intended that kick, it would be too stupid for any player to do that intentionally.
My god, Rooney's said something stupid? Hold the presses! I mean come on, this is a man who challenged another person to a fight on Twitter and gets into arguments with Piers Morgan. I'm still amazed he can work a computer...
Apologies my comments on Suarez were directed at the OP but I somehow missed that he was actually just c+p'ing an article by John Aldridge. Having realised my mistake I appreciate this thread might not be the best forum for me to argue with Aldridge, as far as I'm aware he doesn't post here! Twitter is a great way for players to interact with their fans if they have commonsense, unfortunately that'd mean that only about 5 Premiership players qualify for accounts. I'd agree Rooney's not really in a position to criticise Suarez but I don't think he does, if you look at what he actually said as he was expressing his surprise that the ref saw it yet deemed it a booking. It's up to the FA to decide whether he should be criticising a ref. However, he's not wrong, even those that defend Suarez must agree that it's either a red or nothing. If it's an accident then like Song kicking Terry in the head a few years ago, it's not a foul it's a drop ball to let them get treatment.
The refs are taken in time and again by players play-acting - the sooner they stop rewarding the play-actors the sooner they'll stop doing it. Bale was guilty of this the other night and there's no need for it - it's cheating.
If he didn't know that he was there then it's not a booking(see: Song example). If he knows he's there then it's violent conduct which is a straight red. I'm sure you've seen the Suarez kick plenty of times and are aware of the push and how he took his eyes off the ball so I know you won't change your mind as it's based on you being a Liverpool fan and loyal to your player.
I wasn't particularly referring to Parker with my comment about play-acting, however, there's no doubt that even his antics after were designed to get the player booked.
It really, really worries me, that I always tend to agree with Swarbs. I swear he must be a closet scouser. he simply can't be typical manc scum, and have valid opinions, it defies nature!
