Harry is the best England manager around, but in a few years time i'd expect Chris Hughton to be up there as one of the best English managers. Took Newcastle up at the first time of asking and in some style and was unfairly sacked after a solid start and looks to be doing the business at Birmingham.
Not being picky but he's Irish or at least one of his long lost relatives was. Bit like 80% of the Eire team back in the 80's and 90's.
I believe an England team should have an England Manager.....we should pitch the best England Team at the opposition with the best English Manager who will take the job. Someone who can talk to the players and "get inside their heads".These foreign guys cannot do that when it comes to an England team. No problem with 'arry or almost any other top English manager. We will still grumble and bicker but we've done our best, and that's it!
I suspect that the England job will go to Stuart Pearce anyway because of his experience of working as assistant coach, and head coach of the U21's
Harry as manager with Stuart Pearce, Tony Adams and Alan Shearer as his leutenants. Looks a winning team to me.
The premier league is actually doing quite well for British managers, just a shame most of them are Scottish! There's actually only 5 clubs who have a manager from outside Britain and Ireland.
The problem with England isn't the manager, its the over paid, under performing ****ers that pull the shirt on that manage to not meet our over ambitious expectations. Even Fergie couldnt make those arseholes cup winners.
give it a couple of years and his name will be mentioned on a other bung or fraud case, like it is every single time..
