Forecast looks promising if nothing else. The course is fine under the covers. So long as there's no significant snow on Friday night and temperatures are above freezing on Saturday morning to get the covers off then we should be good to go. Forecast says there is a good chance of that happening, at the moment at least! <laugh>

Forecast suggests maximum temperature on Friday as being +1, meaning it will not get above zero for much of the morning one would suggest. As I say, the weather forecast is changing massively in the space of hours, if the snow does come then it won't look good. Saying that, it could be better to have snow than a massive freeze like last night.

Only verdict they could come to really, as there was no evidence that this money in secret account was from sources that they suggested, all a waste of taxpayers money!!

lol, only going by what has been reported on news etc

just my opinion, i think he was and probably is guilty of tax evasion, but there also seems to be a distinct lack of evidence provided about where the money in the offshore account came from. If you cant prove where that source of funds is and then why he was given the funds, then surely you cannot be found guilty of tax evasion. It is down to HRMC to prove beyond doubt that the money received was a bonus for alleged transfer and I don't think they have done that, basically relying on a story that came from the News Of The World for alot of the 'reported' evidence.

Not really a good idea, considering what has gone on with that paper down the years!!

The question is, if they had been found guilty, would they have got a prison sentance considering the press clamour at the moment for Harry to be next England manager?

Redknapp won't manage England now - FA came unstuck when they appointed Venebles and were forever worried about what dodgy deals would bring shame on the National Footblal team.
'Arry just got lucky I reckon.
So all of us tax payers, what we need to do is come to a deal with our bosses where they reduce our salaries by 15% but pay all of it into a Monaco bank account and we should be 20-25% better off...

Still no sign of the 'rarely spotted NH fixture' then as they are all off not only today but tomorrow as well. Also I note that following on from Baby Run another major player is out of the old Foxhunters at Chletenham. Zemsky won’t be going for a repeat, people.

Nice idea re the comp. I'll plump for:

2.20 Silver Linnet
2.50 Prickles
3.25 Lady Caprice
3.55 Satwa Laird
4.30 Discoverer
5.00 Spartilla (NAP)
5.30 Les Verguettes
6.00 Dvinsky

Not a great card overall and not a betting medium for me today but the 2 that I would be most confident about would be PRICKLES (2.50) and SPARTILLA (5.00). They may be better than there current marks and are both contesting very weak races.

Did anyone read Tom Kerr's article on racecourse bookmakers in todays bible ?
I'm not expecting a huge amount of sympathy for bookies but read the article, there's been debate in here in the past about how much money the exchanges have taken out of racing and Tom's article pretty much paints the picture.
One thing he doesn't go into detail with either is the increased entrance fees being levied against bookmakers - for a bookmaker to stand at even the worst meeting in history (AW Southwell, Lingfield, Wolvo with 300 punters) it will cost him close on £500 plus staff costs - see the numbers talked about in the article and it's not hard to understand why so few attend, and what that means for the punter is poor value because overall bookies will squeeze margins, there could come a day very soon where the majority of on course punters are trading via phones/laptops with very few bets taken in the ring....

Couldn't see redknapp and mandaric being found guilty for the sake of £40k or so, total waste of time effort and £8million bringing the case IMO!!
