What is your attitude to the FA Cup exit to Millwall?

  1. Good - concentrate on promotion

  2. Shame - A cup run is always good for morale

  3. Disappointed - I'd have backed us to beat Bolton at home and been in the last 8

How do you feel about going out of the FA Cup at home to Millwall last night?

    Glad, sad or indifferent?

Very dissapointed. I know the league is the priority but winning creates a habbit and we are seriously out of the habbit of winning. Also I always like the cup and it would have been a great oppurtunity to get to the quaters had we won so a real shame, but a win on sat would make up for it.

Very disappointed...not for the Cup (we could have gone out to Bolton anyway) but mainly because we need to start winning again. We haven't suddenly become crap or we would haven't have got 2 draws against close rivals, but we must regain the winning mentality. I was thinking of coming over to the Pompey board so I could be with some happy fans:)

Personally its slightly concerning and mildly annoying that we are struggling to get wins recently, but also as its the FA cup, I'm not that bothered with this result on its own. Would have been nice to win, but we have bigger targets than a match vs the mighty Bolton :)

It's not "good", I suppose "unworried" would be better. If we win on Saturday it will all be forgotten.

Its sad. The FA cup isn't valued like is used to be, and this has all been discussed before. Its all about the money money. While I can understand it, it dissapoints me. If we wanted the FA cup badly, and we played the strongest side from the start, we probaby would have won.

Adkins made the decision to play who he played, and if we won it would of been hey great back up squad, but we didn't and Millwall played well with more freedom and probably enjoyed not having the pressure of playing to get out of the bottom four. Shame they couldn't play that way against West Ham, because they were truly terrible in that game.

I didn't mind if we won or lost as long as it didn't go to extra time and pens. We played well and everyone will be fit for Saturday so I'm happy with that.

While I am disappointed at losing to any team. It was more the way that we lost last night that has particularly disappointed me. Sorry to say Adkins did not get his selection or set up any where near right last night. The number of games where we are undone by breakaways in a season leaves a lot to be desired. Although how the Itchen side assistant can look at his face in the mirror this morning with out blushing I really do not know. The third goal was so far offside it was unbelievable that neither ref or assistant didn't give it. Trouble was he was still on the half wayline and not in line with the last defender as he should have been. Had he been he would have quickly realised even though he was behind play that the guy was off side. Having said that Saints did not deserve to win they were woeful.

I would have been frozen to my seat if it had gone to extra time and it would have needed a blowlamp to free me. I have to say I disagree that we played well.

There sems to be quite a split as to if we played well or not. I wasn't at the game, but this is an unusual lack of parity among Saints fans!

Although i am relieved that it hasn't affected our league position. The people who say that it doesn't matter are foolish i my opinion. Had we won it would be another opportunity to blood the youngsters and i would fancy our chances at home against a struggling Bolton side. The manner in which we lost is very frustrating and with no disrespect to Millwall we should be winning those kind of games at home if we are going to get promoted. It presented a fantastic opportunity to boost morale and to start a winning run.

Of course it is a shame, but it is more important to focus on the league in my opinion, would you rather have a cup-run and no promotion or no cup-run and promotion? Same situation as when we were in the JPT, except then we were probably favourites to win whereas we are not the F.A cup.
