I have seemed to have become the go to Gills fan for Fourfourtwo mag, but I feel this question is best put out to the masses. It is a simple question who are the best three players in League 2 (excluding Gillingham players)? They have to been football league players so no premier league loanees please...

Ps the foreign player edition is out on the 1st March, if you fancy seeing my first input.

I have always thought Izale McLeod is too good for league 2. When I first saw him playing for Derby I thought he could become a really top player but he somehow went off the rails along the way.

BSG - I am purely going to base this on performances that I have seen at Priestfield this season, rather than any other records, so no research required, other than articles I had done mentioning the star man for the opposition. I have taken out loan players and any player than I thought 'well I am not to sure' - it actually left me with precisely three...

    Jermaine McGlashan - Aldershot
    Alfie Potter - Oxford
    Marvin Morgan - Shrewsbury

As I say, only based on the day. If any of these do not fit the criteria for some reason I have overlooked, then include Kyel Reid of Bradford.

    Hope that helps.

Michael Flynn at Bradford. In what was a truly dull match Flynn was the only player on the pitch that looked like he had quality. An ex Gill I know but quality player.

brb I though Morgan was dreadful when we played Shewbury at home. I really can't see what all the fuss is about.

The old brain matter plays havoc at my age!

I think what is interesting, is that considering Bradford's league position we have both mentioned between us, two of their players. Another player I forgot to mention Lewis Young - Northampton. I'll stick with my original three though to avoid confusing things.

I would have to say Matt Ritchie of Swindon is up there, as is Ryan Hall of Southend.

Other than that take your pick of a few including Mcleod, Constable, Torres, Grabban etc.

In all honesty though, the best prospect in League 2 at the moment is Jack Payne, he has the potential to play at any level.
