If you seriously believe that without some major rethink of how we are playing you are mistaken.

Spot on. Major rethink and some of the players need to stop playing not to loose.

we're having a bad patch of form, as have West Ham and quite a few other sides... the hammers lost 5-1 to Ipswich but you don't see their fans being all doom and gloom and talking about sacking their manager.

It's almost as if people enjoy things going wrong

Adkins is thinking. Of course he is. Hence the switching between diamond (which seems to be working) and 442. I suspect we might even get a tickle of 433 sometime soon too. Of course we need a bit of a think, as much to jolt the confidence back into the players, but I don't think some major rethink is required. I have faith in this project entirely and I think we have the right people on board. The play and confidence was starting to creep back in, then we made some changes last night and the old failings came back.

I honestly believe that in 2-3 weeks time we'll be back playing as we were.

Disclaimer: if we're not, I will eat a facsimile of these words live on webcam!

I reckon we should keep Nigel until someone better becomes available.

Bring back the glorious dutch duo of Wotte and Portvleit, no one knew how to instill a winning mentality like them (into the opposistion of course!)

Whatever happens, Nigel is a good manager who fits Southampton perfectly. He's being criticized now because of the excellent start that we made. If we'd been slowly creeping up the table we'd all be like dogs with two tails. Yes, it will be deeply disappointing if we blow this chance, but other teams before us have done that. We are still in this and must hope things take a positive turn..because as fans hope is all we can have. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Can't really call it a bad patch now tbh. 3 months is more then a patch.
