When is Valentines's Day? iirc sometime in Febuary, for me I custom and practice is, I get her who if not obeyed there is hell on, a card and a small something from a charity shop
Ooo, sounds like make or break in your relationship, pick the wrong answer and you could be doomed I'm with Mush, go for something small but not to the point where you haven't even thought of it. If a lass says one thing we are usually supposed to know that she means something else. As for Valentine's day, it's all a load of Betty Swollocks for me. I'll take my lass out any night of the week but the one night I hate going out is Valentine's day. Think we'll probably swap cards then go out at the weekend.
Jeez, what a load of romantics we are, can't be bothered to do anything for our other half's but we'll happily walk on glass to see Sunderland (And Newcastle for the mags amongst the article) do well.
Run-away........... A woman who say "i don't want to do anything"? Leg it.....forked tongue and all that.
Well I will take her for a meal too. I tend not to like Hotel meals so will take her somewhere nice. She had better appreciate this
It's okay for syd to start a thread like this. We have to buy our loved ones and/or wives the card, chocs, flowers etc all syd needs is a couple of dog biscuits.
I'm with BB here marra never ever take what a woman says at face value. If you can afford it splash out. If not something small like BB says. The man that understands how a woman's brain works hasn't been born yet, therefore don't take chances. I shall give you an example, when we first got married many moons ago we didn't have much spare cash, saving for a deposit on a house. The wife said to me one day, don't get me anything for our first anniversary it would be a waste of money! (Didn't even know till she told me. ) So I didn't, the rest is painful to recall a fortnight of arguments over nothing, cold shoulder and definitely no conjugals. When she finally calmed down, it seems I was supposed to ignore her and make an effort to do something special. Women!
