We have no chance. He's impressing in the Prem and he'll end up with a permanent at a club like Everton.
West Ham have the best midfield with Collison, Noble, Nolan, Faye, Diop, Taylor, Lansbury and O'Neill
Half of hour team isnt ours, so what West Ham are all over rated! seriously wouldnt swap one of them for one of ours(Loans)
A midfield three of Nolan, Noble and Lansbury is better than anything this league has seen before let alone now.
Clayton isnt that good I think Tottenham have the best midfield in the country now with Bale, Modric, Parker and Van Der Vaart
Im not sure, I think Yaya Toure is the best midfielder in the premiership. Clayton is good for peanuts we paid for him
I think Toure is massively over rated, all he does is goes round and kicks people. David Silva started the season on fire. At the minute i dont think there is a midfielder playing better then Modric. Surprise midfielder of the season has to be Leon Britton though. He is the most accurate passer in europe beating people like Xavi and Iniesta
Clayton will become class as is one of those players that gets better with age - ironically like Parker. No doubt he will be sold for peanuts by good old Master Bates. IMHO Man City have the best midfield in the Premier League - Yaya Toure, Silva, Milner, Johnson, Barry, Nasri and De Jong.
Tottenham also have Sandro, Huddlestone, Jenas, Livermore, Lennon No way past Tottenhams midfield. People like Barry, Milner and De Jong let Man Citys midfield down
Drinkwater looks like a quality purchase. Also Marshall showed some great moments of flare against Brighton I certainly recall him making a great dash for the by-line running past 2 players and sending in a quality cross. We have 2 great players there IMO. However Danns was just terrible with his pass distribution and could only attept to make up for his lack of ability by running around the pitch like a mad jack russell. Wellens is far to hit and miss this season, he also hasnt got the legs and is missing plentiful tackles. I also though Peltiers man marking on the weekend was diabolical - but he's looked good in other games so im happy to overlook that. We need two quality creative midfielders to be challenging. If we get the correct distribution to Nugent and Becks then we are laughing.
Personally think we are missing a ball winner - someone who would get stuck in but come out with the ball like Fernandes was in his first few games with us. We are also missing last season's version of Andy King - someone who dictated the play and drove the team forwards whenever he has the ball. Wellens is is the creative player you want but isn't getting as he is trying to be both of the types of players above.
Agree 100% with this. I even commented on this after the Southampton win. Although his workrate is what was missing when we had King, I still don't thing Danns is the answer. Wellens and Drinkwater for me.
Wellens and Drinkwater for me aswell Saturday is their chance anyway How good would a midfield of Mark Davies, Richie Wellens, Danny Drinkwater and Andy King be
