You realise how pathetic this sounds when people say this? Hardly 'pinched' Andy Carroll for £35m did we? If anything you should be grateful...you wouldn't be where you are without that money. If anything we should be the bitter ones yet somehow many up here in the north east are unexplainably bitter about that bit of business. <ok>

We wouldn't be where we are without that money? We sold Enrique and Nolan aswell, so that money was used on Cabaye and Santon. We've only spent 9 million of it and that was on Cissè who's just arrived, we were 6th when we got him so that's bollocks!

MNS has a point. Its no use listing players like Suarez, Gerrard, Adams.... Go to any team and you can list a bunch of tossers including us! Look at Bramble, Barton, Ferguson...over the years players let your club reputation down. It's fan attitude that really define a club. Why dislike another club, it's fans have the same aspirations as you. We all want our club to win the Champions league...be you Man U or Scunthorpe. The biggest difference is expectation and realism. Scunthorpe would like...but don't expect. Liverpool would like AND expect....that is probably the difference when you dislike a club its because you don't like their expectations....we suffered from that in the past when we were called "delusional".

What I dont get about that whole racist saga is the fact that Mr Suarez (Im not racist just stating an opinion (not fact)) isnt exactly the whitest of whites is he. I think he was used as an example and unfortunately the fa jumped on it and where to heavy IMO. P.S His wifes fairly tidy!

Teams I hate are Villa - cause of the relegation celebrations.
Manu - Cause the fans and fergy expect to get all the decisions, usually get enough time to equalise and get penaltys for nothing.
Man City - Because the fans (or the ones I know) think that because they sit at the top now think its because they have been a big club for ages when we all know that if it where not for the 100's of millions spent recently they would be bottom half at best.
Stoke - Cause they play **** football!

Because the first thing the manager thinks about when buying a player is to do research on which words are unacceptable in south america and acceptable in the UK.

FFS stop being stupid of course not but it's something that should have been mentioned and I bet because of the Suarez affair and others it will in the future.

When I have visited other countries I have done some homework on their culture, of course Millionaire footballer's wont think of that, they might get their agent's or lackies to do it for them.

There's always something likeable about Kenny when he's happy, but at the moment I've gone off him so much. He moans, he thinks everyone's against him, everything has to go his way, and he's too smug when they overcome any so-called "injustice".

Plus they way he's dealt with the racism thing has been ridiculous. Even if he didn't agree, he should have set an example by saying "we're not going to comment, we're dealing with it in house". As it was he's set a bad example for Liverpool fans, and now they've racially abusing that oldham player, and everyone saw the abuse and racist signals given towards Evra a couple of weeks ago. Disgusting.

Meanwhile I just want the club to do badly because they arrogantly overspent on average players. So satisfying to be above them on a (relative) shoestring.

I think this may change in the future as a result of Suarez's case, so some good will come of the whole debacle. But the ban and fine were completely out of proportion to the offence. Both for the average fan and by the example the FA has shown in previous cases. But it is hardly surprising where the FA are involved. Completely incompetent, look at the handling of the Terry case and the undermining of their manager just before a major tournament. Not least their inability to get together with the courts and get this dealt with quickly so an informed decision can be made prior to the tournament on his inlcusion.

People who buy into the Suarez didn't know what he was saying argument must be a bit retarded. He has been living in Liverpool since when, July? Are you telling me he hasn't been learning English since then? Or had any sort of induction from his employers?

He is an international football player who's played with people from all over the world. Are you telling me he lives in a box with no electricity, avoiding popular culture in film, music etc?

He knew exactly what he was saying. He was not calling Evra his friend. He might not be racist he may of just been winding Evra up, but he knew what he was doing.

I dont speak any foreign languages but I can see Putan! is offensive just from watching Spanish football.

Diagree completely Santiago and think you're displaying a lack of knowledge of cultures worldwide. But this has been done to death and can't be bothered to trawl out my same opinions on it again.

Also calling people retards because they have a different opinion to your own is only going to end in abuse flowing your way, deservedly. You're coming across as very arrogant and self indulgent.

While Western culture has become used to the thumbs-up as a positive, informal signal, in most of Latin America and West Africa, as well as Greece, Russia, Sardinia and the south of Italy, the thumbs-up basically means the same as the middle finger: “sit on it and swivel”.

To be perfectly honest it's not even the buying our players aspect I hate Liverpool for...it's been there for years. If our best players are to leave I'd just prefer to see them go anywhere other than Liverpool (Sunderland notwithstanding because it's highly unlikely).
