APPRAISE - November 2011: + 10.51 points Profit December 2011: + 38.87 points Profit January 2012: +5.03 points Profit After a momentous struggle with the bookmakers in January we finally prevailed with 5.03points profit. Some pro's describe it as a battleground and thats what it felt like this month. I'm pleased we came out on top in the end and thats three consecutive winning months now. Considering we had a losing streak of 8 consecutive losers i'm happy where we ended up. More facts and figures to come later for January. For now though we have maintained a strike rate of about 42% overall and have about 13% profit to turnover. I done a bit of maths the other evening and worked out that with a 40-45% strike rate it was possible to have a losing streak of up to 14 losers in around every 1000 investments, its not beyond possibility that these could come in relatively quick succession so anyone following needs to consider that their bank can absorb such a loss. Anyway enough for now, i'm looking forward to February... many thanks for your continued support....
I had stuck up four today of which three were NR's due to the frost. The other Cats Eyes in the 4.50 at Kempton i couldnt play at 8/11 this morning as i had it priced up at Evens so a bit too short and now its trading more around the 4/9 mark so a no bet day for me. Unfortunately my website wont let me update this at the moment so if anyone has played Cats Eyes at these odds good luck but not me.
Posted earlier on http://appraise.weebly.com/ It pays to have a look early at my website if you want to get the value as most of my selections shorten considerably... Catterick frozen off so two selections remain 1.20 Lingfield Mister Mackenzie 2pts win (5’s early gone) 2.40 Wolverhampton Munsarim 2pts win (10/11early gone) Good luck to all
Well done today Ardent, this one was my main bet today also, it's on a very reasonable mark at present. Glad to see you showing real consistencey as it's not easy.
Nice 3/1 winner today Ardent. In future I'll make sure I always include your selection(s) in the comps I enter. Can't pick a winner myself.
Thanks Ron/Bluesky......On a day of very little racing i was pleased we dug out Cut The Cackle who won very nicely indeed at 3/1. (ATR-dwelt in rear, headway on outer from over 1f out, ridden and ran on to lead towards finish, won going away) We had the straight forecast as well with the 2nd top rated 2nd ...paid £23.41...we were beaten 1/2 length for the tricast for those that play these....just to be clear i dont its hard enough getting a winner! It pays to check the ratings on the weebly site. I'm off to Musselburgh tomorrow.... if it survives its currently very wet in Edinburgh and 4 degrees so i'm hopeful....probably just a watching brief though.
