The forecast is saying snow on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. If the Bristol game is called off we are well and truly shafted regards our back log of fixtures. Are the gods about to conspire against us?
If we need it I'd go for Tuesday 28th February. It's FA Cup replay date and there's no Championship games so it's free for both of us. We're playing Blackpool on the Friday followed by another game the following midweek, but we won't have played since Brighton the week before so the players should be fresher.
Really? The forecast i've just seen has said no snow, but possible sleet showers and freezing temperatures still being a problem. Even said it as getting a touch milder by Saturday/Sunday! Can't be as bad as what they're having in parts of Europe though.
Urr nurr it's snurr. I actually hate the snow. I hate it as much as muggers & people with ASBOs. Yeah I hate it that much.
I'm only going by the forecast that's on my phone. I might sound a bit simple but I can't remember if it's normally accurate or a big pile of poo. Going by today's weather and what my phone has fore cast I'm going for accurate. We're doomed then, doomed I tell you.
The met office can only accurately forecast 48 hours in advance so at the moment it is far to early to say accurately what the weekend weather is going to be like. I have been following the weather very closely as it impacts my job greatly if the weather/roads are bad and they are currently saying they expect it to be milder towards the weekend (5 ish) with a few possible wintry showers.
It could push NB into bringing in 2/3 loan signings? I'd imagine another defender and a striker will be required.
Don't know what's going on these days but if you look back at old winter football videos from the 60' and 70's many matches were played on snow covered pitches, many just cleared by an army of volunteers just before the game, what's a matter with the wimps today?
Lets hope for a tropical blast - i need to get a fix of Tigers action at the KC this weekend or my head will explode!
The BBC are currently saying that Saturday will be 2-3 degrees with some rain and it's supposed to be quite sunny tomorrow, so that should clear some snow, we rarely get games cancelled due to the weather, so I'll be surprised if it doesn't go ahead. I'm missing the bloody thing, along with Brum, as I have to be in London for a few days over the weekend and early next week and I was supposed to be in a box on Saturday. I also have to go to the Far East in March, normally I can find a week to go and only miss one away game, but we've got so many fixtures in March it looks like I'll have to miss at least two games, possibly even three. It's really not working out well for me this season.
I don't think that's the main issue these days, it's more down to Health and Safety for the fans round the stadium and surrounding areas. Never used to bother us in the old days!!
At the Stoke V Sunderland game at the weekend they had people coming on mid game to clear the snow off the lines on the pitch! Theyw ere saying on the radio that that was the norm in the 70s/80s. Now we have games been called off in case someone might slip outside the ground! ****ing ridiculous! (and I feel like a right old bugger saying that!)
dont see a problem or issue at the moment. the KC has under soil heating so the pitch wont be an issue. only the health n safety idiots could spoil the fun on saturday. as a child who watched many games @ BP in the deep snow with an orange ball the weather we get now that brings such chaos is pathetic. far to much is made of nothing. its winter time and february ffs,
Derby County v. Nottingham Forest last sunday falls into that situation. BBC TV were not amused i bet.
