Not sure on that HIAG. If he was fed easy chances the confidence to despatch the hard ones would be there, although now he is way too far gone to toe-poke in a chance from 5 yards. He is at the wrong club; it's like they speak a different football language. He thrives on fast service of the kind delivered by quick thinking midfielders and blisteringly fast wing play. Now who plays like that......?

I think Torres needs to go back to Spain, lost the plot here, and the media microscope he's under will not help. Is it me or has he put on weight since Liverpool? he certainly seems chunkier to me, losing half a yard of the pace he had. Would he score more with a Harry arm round him...as long as its not the arm that went round all our strikers last season...didn't work for them! <whistle> Systems?? the Chavs have had plenty of MFers working with this guy, so I don't see any mileage in that argument either. Quite simply he freezes at every opportunity, he was put throught at the end yesterday and fluffed his lines again. What I'd like to know is when a player hits a purple patch as he did, why does everyone expect him to play like that every season for his entire career, I'm fairly sure that doesnt happen, unless its an exceptional player, Messi, Ronaldo etc. Torres is quite clearly not in that category and should never have had that price put on him.

In England only a team as dynamic as Spurs with 2 classic wingers bombarding the fullbacks and putting crosses in will revive Toress...and with VDV and Modric slide rule passing all day long..the lad would be in heaven..insted he finds himself playing almost like a midfielder,so desperete is his plight .

  5. Hey, Chirps! I'd certainly give Torres a chance at Spurs, especially with Harry instilling him with confidence and belief.

Walker deserves a mention with some fine defensive work against a team full of bruisers and spoilers without a cutting edge, Bellamy, Kuyt & Gerrard excepted. Bale was certainly disrupted with the treatment he recieved. As many have said Parker was very fine and just looks like a proper footballer he could have played in any era. Skrtel nasty piece of work he could easily have broken Bales leg with that challenge, a straight red if ever I saw one.

Away from home with an injury list as long as your arm and no Harry a draw can't be bad.

Whoops! posted on the wrong thread. hic!
