The major difference here being the majority have moved, not a minority. I'm going to still use both, but I can see myself using the other one more because of the people on it.

 

Aye but the debate about moving came about because of GC. As I say its not like we've suddenly become this big of late. The Newcastle forum has been massive since I joined in June last year (not massive because of me haha) and nobody ever mentioned it in the 8 months I was on. After the GC stuff a few mentioned it and then there was the deleted thread. Matters not people have gone and that's the way it is. Each to their own and all that as always. I don't mind the GC lot and I like the posters who have left so not trying to be awkward or anything, it just surprised it was being put down to something else.

 

Thats the main reason I'm going on there for the people, not too keen on the layout personally though I may grow to like it more with time and on here you get the chance to speak to other people.

 

I prefer the new forum's layout and its ease of use. I'll still check this from time to time but the new one is a alot more focussed in what it offers and the OT threads are kept in a different section so they don't clog up the main board.

 

So how do you get on this new forum.

I have to say it's a shame whats happend but it was coming. The lack of control over the GC lot was always going to be an issue and when I saw the Speed article last week I knew it was the end. I have been to the new forums and I have to say at the minute I don't like the layout. It's very dark and you can't get a preview of the article without clicking into it which is annoying for those of us on poor connections. Nothing is more annoying than a title "You won't believe what just happened" which turns out to be cr@p . I will however read the forums and post infrequently there because that's where the regulars/majority are. They wont be coming back I can guarentee. Money and time has been spent developing that forum. As I use other forums on this website I will contiue to hang around but i won't be on here as much anymore I guess.
