Read that he was stretched off for Wolves with what looked like a bad knee injury.

    Any updates on this?

I hope it's not a recurrence of the bad knee injury he suffered for us last year.

Apparently he is set to have a scan today - fingers crossed it's not cruciate ligaments....

"Emmanuel Frimpong’s loan spell at Wolves cut short as midfielder returns to Arsenal following cruciate ligament injury"

Poor lad. That would have been good experience for him.

The beeb are reporting that it's a ruptured ACL, so he'll be out until the start of next season at least. Genuine commiserations, horrible injury to get.

Actually one of the worst types of injury he could have.

Certainly worse than a leg break. Lets hope he recovers.

Massive shame. He was doing really well there and was brilliant against Villa especially. He has had two serious knee injuries and he is only 20. Got to feel for him.

Really sad for him, i hope it isn't too serious that he misses parts of next season.

I believe that he is the future of Arsenal but i hope these knee injuries do not affect his career too much. The guy has everything, pace, power and aggression, things we need!

2 ACL injuries and only 20. You have to worry and doubt how he will come back again and be the same player.

Very sad to hear... the experience he would have gotten at Wolves would have been fantastic for his development as a player. As it is he only played something like 2-3 games for them...

I really hope not. He is the type of player we have been looking for in a long while. A strong, powerful player with plenty of Arsenal pride!

Does anyone know if it's the same knee as last time?

If he has done the same knee twice then it shouldn't be as bad as doing both his knees once, in terms of the chances of injury recurring and future problems.

Last one was his left knee back in 2010. This is the other one.

Why are all our players so injury prone?

That is ridiculously rotten luck. Not just for us, but for him personally.

Really gutted for him. He was just back to playing regularly too, the experience at Wolves was going to be really good for him. Extremely bad luck with injuries. The cruciate ligament in 2010 and then just last week a broken cheek bone from a kick in the face and then another ACL injury.

At least people can't try and blame our medical team for this one.

I think it's just the player himself, he's so committed to every game, every tackle infact. Players like him are always going to run the risk of injury. It's similar in a way to Gerrard, who plays with such intensity and as a result, has had some pretty bad injuries.

You're probably right, Frimpong is a full tilt kind of player - all or nothing. I think he can recover from the ACL quite well. It's a shame that he's going to be out for so long, but he's got time on his side. He's only 20, so he'll be back in contention whilst he's still a very young player. Good luck Manu - we're all rooting for ya <ok>
