My nephew has asked if we can go to watch a premier league game for his birthday pref Arsenal or Spurs. Is it possible to get tickets for premier league games these days without: A) signing upto the clubs website and some scheme for about £35 each B) paying ticket companies ticketmaster etc over £150 for a ticket How can you possibly afford to take youself and a couple of kids at these prices

Some of these prices for the top game are criminal, I remember reading the Chelsea programme in our game their in the first season and to see them play Man United, Arsenal etc would cost you about £75 for a standard seat. I'd take Chazz's advice with tickets.
If your mobile phone contract is with O2, you can register for Priority tickets which often have Arsenal ones available.
You are going to be best off getting the tickets for Arsenal or Spurs when they go away to Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan or possibly a FA Cup game maybe? They are both in it, and both on TV in the next round so possibly a reduced attendance of either sides following... But that's unless it has to be a Premier League game of course.
If Middlesboro were to knock Sunderland out of the FA Cup this week then you could take them up there to watch the Middlesboro v. Arsenal cup tie on saturday 18th Feb. when City dont have a game. Then again its a tea time k.o. for ESPN TV. Middlesboro always have spare tickets. Dont know when there last Sell Out was ? Bet the Sold Out boards have wood worm now. !!
I doubt you'll get very far with Spurs or Arsenal, your best bet is probably tickets for the neutral stand at Fulham, though you're unlikely to get tickets for a London derby game.
I've just looked at the Arsenal website and tickets do appear to go on general sale without any need for membership (Sunderland tickets were on general sale, but have sold out). I've not checked the Spurs site though
I know from experience that you wont get Spuds tickets on general sale, unless you plan very far ahead. If you go on their website it gives you dates for tickets to go on sale to non members well in advance of each fixture. Failing that, it’s worth registering for an account with them, as Spuds have a ticket exchange scheme where people put their tickets for sale, you buy them through the website and the club sorts it out for you. Fair enough, you’ll pay more than face value, but not overly extortionate, last time I went to WHL we paid £17 per ticket more on the exchange than face value. Guess it depends on how much you want to take him!
