Apparently on his twitter page has said : "For the first time in my life I'm not happy playing football"

Now i watched him play against newcastle and it has to be said, he was a pile of utter w**k, could barely beat a player/cross/shoot

Looks a shadow of his former self tbf

Think we may have done well in not purchasing him....

In fairness the lad must be knackered..... The commute from Seaham Hall to Villa Park is a killer!

Really thought he was in the hotel where the new Newcastle signings go.

He was one of their best players until he went off yesterday. Led Simpson a merry dance and stripped Colo a few times. Also he did set up their only goal. Truth be told he is a very talented lad but unfortunately he has a few screws loose. He behaved like a tit while with us (texting on his mobile while a teamtalk was going on etc). I saw him right below me have a shouting match with McLeish who, although it was hard to tell, seemed to be suggesting he hadn't bothered to come out for the 2nd half (typical manager motivation tactics). N'Zogbia reacted badly gave him a mouthful and McLeish mouthed, "right you can off". He did not long later. Lad needs to get his head in the game if he wants to be of any use. I'm so glad we dodged that bullet in the summer and Sunderland must be too given McCleans form.

He is still a good player and would love him at the SoL.

MoN is the type of manager who could get him back to his best and if he is unhappy at villa I wouldn't be surprised if we bid for him in the summer. Martin likes his wingers with skill and pace and this lad has both those attributes.

If played in his prepared and best position of right wing he is fantastic!

Him on the right, mcclean on the left n Sess in a free role as the second striker would cause chaos for defenders

Quality post mate and spot on. I was one who fancied him in the summer but I am sure pleased he was a greedy little twat and priced himself out of the market.

    McClean is twice the man.

Why is everyone comparing him to mcClean?????

Last year he was outstanding on the right for Wigan

And he has already came out this season and said he is a right winger and is most effective there.

Because he has a left food doesn't mean he is a left winger even though he can do a job ther

No one doubts his ability. Just his attitude.

I'd take him now, TBH. Bruce wouldn't have got anything out of him, but MO'N maybe could.

Obviously his wages would have to be sensible, but him on the right overlapping Seb Larssen could be a quality supply line for our ace striker, erm, oh drat...
