He saw the oppertunity and went for it. If it was a NUFC player who did that then i'd be disappointed but atleast it would've got us a goal. He was looking for it and the chance came and he took it.
Its never good to see that but its so hard to guard against and see for the refs and linesmen, we need a video ref. It really wouldnt be that hard, have him/her instantly view the decision from multiple angles and communicate through the refs earpiece. I dont think it would damage the flow of the game much.
personally....i think it was a penalty and even it wasn't given then the one on Silva 10mins later was blatant
he pretty much admitted he dived to the bbc "i saw his leg sticking out and put mine out, we hit and i went down" haha i dont get how simpons on wednesday was a pen but the foul on silva wasnt plus in the same tackle it was a clear hand ball haha
It was a blatant penalty. Baird (who was awful) left his leg out and even though he went down easy - it was blatant as hell
A typical fence sitters reply. OK for your players to win a penalty from such a situation, but god forbid anyone else does. You need to have a long look in the mirror. What you will see is a two faced hypocrit, crawl back under your stone, dickhead.
Just the way it is with the modern footballer. Jonas does the same for us so I'm not gonna accuse other teams of having divers when we have a blatant one ourselves. I don't like it but its a given with them these days.
How on earth can any Newcastle supporter be so hypocritical as to criticise any player for cheating when they have Stephen Taylor and Guitterez playing for their team ?
