What you rekon lads, stick with the team that beat Bora or make a couple of changes?

For me its huge so changes should be at a minimum

I would go with

-------------------- Mignolet --------------------

-- Bardsley --- O'Shea ---- Turner -- Richardson --

----- Larsson ------ Gardner ------ Colback ------

---- Sessegnon --- Campbell ------- McClean ----

subs

Kyrgaikos
Bridge
Westwood
Meyler
Elmohamady
Wickham
Ji

going for a 2-1 victory

Ha'Way the Lads!!

Maybe Bridge and Kyrgaikos will get a run out....

Campbell? depends if it's an icy pitch or not...but he'll be raring to go...

Don't know how Catts is doing...but he'll be busting a gut to play in this..

I believe our mutual demigod will have the tactics sussed and I expect Boro to give it all they've got. I think it'll be a much better game too <ok>

I'd go with that team.

Strongest team possible, simple.

Arsenal are tough if we get through, but it's a home tie, and we are more than capable of turning them over on current form (even given Saturday, Blackburn were ****ing woeful defensively).

MON is a bit of a cup specialist, he'll get it right, as always.

I thought we drew with the Boro and this is a replay?

Useless manager can't even beat Boro.

I'd look to put 3 or 4 changes just to keep everyone on their toes.

I'd give Westwood a run possibly, bit harsh on Mig given his 3 clean sheets but it's food for thought.

Possibly give Bridge a run out but other than that no changes in defence.

Larsson has been a bit quiet in the last couple of games so perhaps he's due a game out and bring Campbell back in?

For some reason I'm more confident of us getting the result we need down there than I was when we were playing at home.

Big game this, both to keep our momentum for the league and obviously to take us a step nearer to Wembley.

I'd go with

Mig
Bard Turner JOS Rico

Seb Gards Catts Cleaner

Sess Campbell

Boro won't be good enough to deal with that.

My ten pence worth.

The way McClean took his goal right footed tells me he could play right wing. I'd like to see Bridge given a run out and Richardson to left wing. Imagine the pace in the team with Richardson, Sessegnon, McClean and Campbell?

MIG

Bardo, O Shea, Turner, Bridge

McClean, Gardener, Meyler, Richardson

Sessegnon

Campbell

Subs; westwood, Kirgiakos, elmo, Larsson, Ji, Wickham, an other.

Richardsons managing to make a couple of tackles recently, doesn't alter the fact he can't pass to another Sunderland player 99% of the time. :p
IMHO there is no way he should displace anyone from midfield as they have all been very solid.

Poolie, why do you call Boro, Bora ?
Is it a derogatory term or just your way?

I think Seb needs a rest. I would move Sess to the right and bring Connor or Ji in up front with Campbell or bring Elmo in for a straight swap with Seb. Would like to see the Greek loon get on at somepoint too, hopefully when we are three up and coasting.

:headbang:TEENAGE hitman Curtis Main is eager to make his mark against Sunderland.

The red hot reserves prospect was forced into action ahead of schedule with a debut in the dismal goalless draw with Crystal Palace.

Now he looks set to feature in Wednesday’s FA Cup crunch - and as a boyhood Newcastle fan he can’t wait.

“I’d love to play against them,” he insisted.

“I grew up as a Magpies fan so I’d love to get on the pitch and score against the Mackems.

“In the first leg I was on the bench but never managed to get on. Hopefully in the replay I’ll get my chance.”

Realistic Main, 19, knows he is only in the team because of Boro’s current injury crisis.

“The squad has taken a few knocks over the past few weeks so maybe it has come earlier than planned,” he said.

“But I’ve got a chance now to show what I can do. I’d like to think I can step up but I know I will have to work hard to prove that.

“Hopefully the fans will see the kind of player I am: exciting, powerful, direct.”

Main, a regular scorer for the development squad, has no fears about the step up.

“I’ve no problem with the physical side,” he declared.

“I played league football with Darlington so I’ve gone up against some pretty big guys. I’m not worried. I think I can handle myself.”
