The next 5 games see us play Hull (A) Palace (H) Peterboro (A) Blackpool (H) and Ipswich (A)

I'm of the opinion that anything less than 7 points from this batch of games will likely see us get relegated if teams below us pick up points. Assuming we get nothing at Hull or at Ipswich (where we never do well) we will need to beat Palace, Peterborough, and get a point against Blackpool all of which are big asks at the moment.

We've got a whopping 7 league games in March, 4 of which are at home to Leicester, Cardiff, Watford and Derby but if we fail to deliver in February it might be already too late, assuming we can get some wins from these toughies too.

    Worrying times

i think you will be safe. your lucky that you have 3 teams who are worse than you and showing it. i doubt coventry, donny and forest will go on a run.

This could come back and haunt me but.
I agree with CJS can't see either of those 3 having a run but 2 wins is not a run then they are level.
But we have hard games and so do they so I think we will be ok!
I think Ipwich, Watford and Peterborough could be dragged into this. And also we have Millwall who struggle to score goals so they get Andy Keough!
Ipswich are hot and cold so they could be ****e again soon.
When we play Peterborough, just get at them I think we can get something out of it. Blackpool is at home so think positive.
What we need to do is start supporting City apart from the odd " come on you reds" we were ****e yesterday. And this has been the same for years. All teams go on about the twelve man!, wonder if the players think they sould put us on the transfer list

we needed that win yesterday, would of seen us 4 points above millwall and 9 abover relegation, BUT we didnt now we really need to get ourselves sorted out.

    Hull 1-2 city

    City 1-0 Palace

    Peterbrough 2-1 City

    City 2-0 Bpool

    Ipswich 2-0 City

think these results are likely and could well keep us up and not having to worry, 9 points and providing donny cov and forrest slip up again we can start planning for next years championship games where hopefully we are competitive again

    we will be safe

I reckon the hardest match out of the first tranche of 5 games is actually Blackpool at home. They took Cardiff apart yesterday and they put 5 past us up there.

Ipswich away I would never say we'd get anything at all from (given our history in Suffolk) so it relies on us beating Palace and Peterborough and hoping for a point or more from the other 3 games. It's a a big ask to even get 7 points IMO

Captain Jack, you made the comment that we are lucky to have 3 teams worse that us but you have to consider that's only in the points department. Right now I think we are playing at a consistency that mirrors those teams and unless we play better than them in our future games we may join some of them in the bottom three.

We just can't get it right and our play of late, with the exception of Donny, doesn't offer much solace in our fight to maintain Championship status. Let's just hope that we can improve and grab 3 points at Hull and I don't care how we do it.

WE NEED TO WIN 6 AND DRAW 1...( current form and projections on games to play 49 -51 pts req to finish 21st )...HOWEVER, IF dONNY AND fLOREST win their game in hand then, we need to win 7 thats 10 games we can effectively lose. Also the 4 teams above us only need to win 5 and draw 1 or 2.

HOWEVER IF 3 TEAMS IN THE BOTTOM 4 WIN 2 MORE THAN US IN THE NEXT 6 GAMES WE WILL BE ODDS ON FOR div1 .we must also hope the teams Watford and below have a disasterous 6 games!!!! and Pompey get kicked down into div 1.......

    WE ARE IN SERIOUS sH...............It

As things stand and have been going for a few weeks I believe we'll do very well to win 6 or 7 games between now and the end of the season looking at who we have to play.

I know they're in dire straights, but for the life of me I still can't see Forest finishing below us come May. Their form surely has to improve sometime and if it does I have no doubt they will finish above us.

I also watched WHU v Millwall on Saturday and Millwall were very unlucky not to get a point from the game, and with Darius Henderson and Andy Keogh up front they have a potent strikeforce. So I can see them finishing above us too.

In terms of relegation I reckon Doncaster will go down having sold Billy Sharp, and Coventry also look like favourites to join them although they have had a bit of a revival recently.

I think the likes of Watford, Portsmouth, Ipswich and Barnsley are all too good to go down, so if Donny and Cov are doomed and Forest and Millwall will sort themselves out, scarily that leaves just one remaining relegation place to be contested between us and Peterborough ? Just a thought...............
