    Topper goal by Cisse.
But how come no mention of that tackle on Taylor when Ba scored, dreadful.
Partridge at least agreed with my lad who watched the full game, that Villa were the better team for the first half.
I wonder which individuals McLeish was hinting at for their lack of effort second half?

Bent back to needing 9 or 10 clear cut chances to take one.

I thought Warnock was useless all game tbh, and Bent wasnt much better.

Bent was poor today I thought. I did not think the tackle was too bad at the time but he must have caught him awkwardly because Taylor looked in a lot of pain.

    Studs up not too bad?
Bloody hell mate we were talking about decking someone if they came at us like Hoof, if I had managed to avoid that one I would have made sure I came down on him.

Problems at villa. 'twas only a matter of time with the egos there. Players answering McCleish when he was shouting instructions. Ireland told him to **** off. N'Zogbia has never been so unhappy playing football he tweeted.

I must admit I was desperate for us to sign him in the summer... I wouldn't touch him with a stick now. Awful attitude.

I meant when I first saw it, it did not look too bad from the camera angle in the game, I had literally walked in the door and switched the match on when it happened. After watching the reply of it in slow mo it was a bad tackle as you say studs up and caught Taylor awkwardly on what looked like his ankle.

It just shows the ref's have a hard time without the benefit of a reply.

I was watching for it mind, as my lad had mentioned it, when I came back to watch the Chelsea game.

I fell asleep during the Chelsea game and missed the first 2 goals, I woke up for the last half and hour which according to Mrs was the best part of the game.

I think there is something wrong at Villa, I don't know about you but I thought the N'zog sub to bring Heskey on was a strange decision and Ireland playing RW is a bit weird. Its like McClesh has turned into Steve Bruce.

Apparently Ireland told McLeish to **** off just after our first, hense why he was taken off at HT.

Loved seeing Shay back, but love seeing Villa going through the ****. Karma is a right ****!

Or he is trying to make a point of putting down egos.
That only works from a position of power.
ie. doing so well he's untouchable.
Be interesting to see how this pans out.

Take it you never took part in the "dodgy keeper" chants?

In what was otherwise a decent game to watch....except for the result of-course.

I did actually. Lighthearted banter. Shay clapped us all at the end.

Same tory with Bent, he is big buy number one striker and loves it, Keane bought so he has to share the limelight hates it, sound familiar, replace keane with Gyan.

Caught the highlights and the first 15/20 minutes in the club and although loathe to say thought the barcodes played Vila well seems like Pardew did his homework. Agree about the tackle on Taylor didn't look that bad in real time but, when you see it again it did. Not a "lucky" win for the barcodes just a good professional win, did what they had to do.

I just spoke to Pulis about it - he said it was a dive and he rolled about afterwards
