(I think I know the answer) would you have him back if we were floundering in mid table, struggling to find talent and shipping goals?
I wouldn't want him back; he's far too intimidating!! (that and the fact the man has no dignity or self-respect)
No, it was ridiculous that he was even here in the first place. I don't think Nigel's that much of an actor, so surely somebody must have realised he didn't want to be here before he said it in his first interview. How he was allowed to do that much damage I'll never know.
He might be a bit of a ****er, but we have a really good squad thanks to him, so despite him being two-faced and a ****e interviewee, he still aided our cause.
A bit? I guess we'll always disagree on this, but IMO he failed to capitalise on any of our potential "bounceback" momentum and thanks to him we'll end up like Coventry or Derby or some other perennially mediocre team. The start in his first season was inexcusable.
Also, whilst I'm here... the thing that really pisses me off with Nigel is that he was able to leave on his own terms, and that we tried to keep him. I'd much rather the discussions went like this. Thai bloke: Hi, can we talk to Nigel Pearson please? Assem Allam: Lol really? Yeah sure... Big Nige: Why does nobody love me? Or even better... Assem Allam: Hey Nigel... Big Nige: Yeah? Assem Allam: You're sacked.
Yes it just shows the short sightedness of some of the posters on this forum. No it would not happen anyway but if you do not think he did an excellent job here under extremely difficult circumstances then quite frankly it shows an alarming lack of football nouse some people have. Now listen ladies you need to get over that massive chip on your shoulders and move on from bashing Nigel Pearson and Leicester fans, in any walk of life we all go to work for the money and its a bonus if you love what you are getting paid for but the long and short is would you turn down the opportunity to double or triple your wage, i doubt it, so if i meet any of you at a pub and your still tripping over your bottom lip i will buy you a pint and give you a cuddle and tell you to get over it. Sorry its not the answer you might not want to hear but to say he was useless here after having to get rid of most of the squad and start from scratch and yes with boring safety first football to amassing a half decent squad in less than two seasons just shows how pathetic some of you are no wonder OLM had enough.
its a bit unfair to knock Pearsons first season at City , he had to sell players from a poor squad. By the end of last season IMO Pearson had improved in every area of the pitch compared to the squad Dowie inherited (another manager i cannot blame)
The point you Pearson Apologists miss is that you are looking at it from Pearson's point of view. What phucking difference does it make what any of us would have done in his place. He turned his back on a contract WITH MY FOOTBALL CLUB. I don't give a shyte whether what he did for us was good or bad, ultimately his actions are more than likely going to result in my football club missing out on promotion this season because of the disruption it has caused. He also hasn't done this after achieving anything with us and then looking to further his career with a Premiership club. He has ripped up his contract, which nobody forced him to sign, to move to a schitty little club somewhere near Nottingham struggling in the medicrity of the Championship. Sorry, but I'm a Hull City fan. Any kunt that does that to my club deserves to die a horrible death. Simples. Oh, and before you make statements in Scoots name, I would ask his permission if I were you.
Can I make it clear that my last post on this thread was meant to go under OLM,s 1st post, and not under TWF.s. I,m not knocking NP managerial ability thats ok. Its the two faced lying scheming bastard part of him I,m not keen on
Agree, amongst the fall out of his departure he did give us the squad we have today. I don't hold the bloke in high regard, but in some repsect he has left a positive mark on the club.
