Slow? He's far from slow, shola is slow. I would say he's quicker than most and his change of direction is brilliant

Edit; also i agree that he doesn't find the pass, but i would say he is one of the best passers in the side and is the most creative, but he is overrated

You're probably expecting a backlash against this one and I won't disappoint - you're either wumming or you really need to do some homework. Your age says you're 20, I'm 24 and I'm only just old enough to really remember Keegan's first stint here. He took us over when we were looking doomed, heading towards the third tier and turned it around the next season winning the whole thing - you know the rest. Came up into the Premiership and ended the first season in third place. Say what you like about the standard then but that is a damn amazing achievement whichever way you choose to look at it. He had us constantly finishing in high positions, and was the mastermind behind the most memorable footballing side in recent times this side of today's Barcelona/Spain (who many argue are actually rather boring, but you can't call into question their effectiveness, proficiency and talent) and Arsenal's Invincibles.

And how was his second spell a joke, he took over a team that was all at sea with no confidence and playing ****ty long ball tactics and told them to go out and play good football and express themselves. The first seven or eight results were terrible, the press, pundits and other fans were laughing at him and the team but he never lost heart - the players fed off his confidence and turned our fortunes round drastically. He even got Martins, Viduka and Owen playing well in the same team, something thought impossible by most. Had a seven game unbeaten run and came 12th when we looked in real danger of relegation. Tactically inept, don't be ****ing ridiculous.

His first departure hit me hard, I remember I was only ten at the time and I cried my eyes out. Apparently Keegan had went in to see Hall that day to say that he intended to leave at the end of the season so he had plenty of time to find a replacement, they got into it and he ended up resigning then. Who knows what was said between the two. The second I don't blame him for at all, he was being **** on by Wise, Llambias and Ashley who were signing players off youtube and as favours to agents. The court of law proved that Keegan and the fans were repeatedly lied to by the brass, another reason on top of the countless others that I will never ever fully trust or like Ashley. He quit the England job because it wasn't for him, he couldn't cope with the lack of regular interaction with his players and the long boring periods of inactivity. He left without taking a pay cheque rather than wasting the FA's money and fans' time on something he wasn't 100% invested in. As for Man City and Fulham I don't know and frankly couldn't give a ****, but I've heard plenty of City fans singing his praises for the great football he brought to them too.

He had his flaws, lack of interest in youth development being the major one, but NOBODY, not even Sir Bobby Robson, has done more for NUFC in the modern era than Kevin Keegan. He is the reason Newcastle United are seen as one of the top clubs in England.

    1. Even as a Sunderland fan, this is crazy. The teams and football you had under Keegan was a joy to watch and yes tactically he wasnt the best and blew title chances but you cant knock what he done, the reason you are a lot of peoples 2nd club up and down the country is because of the football he managed. Like an old girlfiend you should never go back to, Keegan made the mistake, but everybody makes mistakes.

    2. Never been impressed with him and being on the bench shows you your manager feels the same way, you have better, more consistant in the team.

    3. Too early, but very exciting, time will tell. Im hoping big things from Sess and Campbell but its early there too.

Fair enough but i still dont like him, i know the past, i know what he did, but in the modern game his defensive coaching is poor and youth is the most importent part of the game, becuase with out youth development you havent got future players.
he may have been great but i just dont like him, i cant help it, for some reason i love bentner, i dont want to but i do, i just love him

You think they're the best/2nd best partnership in the league when they've never played with each other in the league?

You kidding? Everton last season, single handedly won our game, on his first start! He was the catalyst for everything we did well that game and like it or not, those are the heights he can achieve, which is why he is regarded as our best player.

I think the most shocking thing about the OP is that he's managed to buy a keyboard without a Caps Lock or Shift key!
