Nottingham Forest owner and ex chairman Nigel Doughty has died http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10308~2600180,00.html RIP
Puts things into perspective with dramatic effect - that's no age - sincere condolences to his family and friemds - RIP
Horrible news. He's done great things for their club and football should celebrate that. Rivalry or not its a terrible day for Forest and his family. As Leicester City fans I think we're all united in offering our condolences
Short term the club just carries on. Only issue could be if he's regularly putting money in to keep tem running whether or not the executers of his estate have permission to keep doing so. I would expect though that if he was it would have been a decision he'd taken with his wife so she'd sign off on it being done. Mid-long term it depends what he's put in his will.
No doubt there will alot of forest fans saying how sorry they are...and more than a fair few will be the same ones who protested and called for his head..doughty invested the best part of £100 million of his own money into forest..and the forest fans (most without tupennce halfpenny themselves) were saying how tight fisted he was..they wanted him out and they got their wish...where are they now? I said at the time, be careful what you wish for , you might just get it...so for these forest hypocrites to say how sorry they are ,just shows them for what they really and trully are..
Very well said. Condolences and sympathies with his family. He loved Nottingham Forest so much. A sad day for football. RIP
